Any link which redirects to bfeditor.org's wiki don't work. I think their entire wiki is down. Is there a mirror or some alternate tutorials we can look at? I really want to make a Vietnam map.

Updated the first two links on the OP, couldn't see any more without testing each one. Let me know if you find any others.

Gonna read some of these tutorials and make some of my own maps for Co op. I'm a pretty decent mapper when it comes to other games so hopefully i don't get too bogged down.

I'm guessing I can't get the mapping tool working in Windows 8? It keeps telling me I need DirectX9.0c but I have it already.

(Vista/Win7 users, remember to run the editor & the installer in XP compatibility mode and run as admin)

right click>properties>compatibility

That'll fix it, I have it running on windows 8.

Well, it starts now. But I can't click on anything. It's not entirely frozen as the FPS counter is moving, but I can't click on anything or minimize it.

Ok, it has a mind of it's own right now. It's doing random stuff. I mean, I think it's doing the stuff I told it to do, but it's like 10 minutes late.

Try dragging the under the tweaker bar resources bar, or if you have photoshop, starting that after you've started the editor.

Neither of those did anything. I'm using the modified .exe if that means anything.

Hi guys. Is it possible to use the BF2 editor without BF2 being installed now PR is standalone?

it is but the editor is somehow corrupting the RendDx9.dll so until we found a solution its quite risky to use it

At one point I'll expand on it so it works for both people with bf2 and people without. Now it focuses on people without bf2 installed.

But as Amok says, we are still figuring out some issues that sometimes pop up, let us know how it goes Perhaps in a separate thread then!

I did everything that tutorial says but for some reason if i open map like Muttrah city in editor it only opens objects from bf2 and leaves out pr objects like mosque etc.

Seeing that the majority of the links (ESPECIALLY THE INTERESTING-SOUNDING ONES!!!) are leading to 404s on a variety of different websites could one of the PR devs/etc write up the remaining tutorials on the realitymod.com forums. Thanks

alright so i'm completely new at map making so i decided to start with the first 2 tutorials.
after these 2 were done i started my level trough BF2 (using battlelog.co 's version) and the moment it hits 15% it crashes. is there anywhere where i can see a dump file why it crashed? cause i'm at a loss.


note: 3rd and 4th link are 404.

Anyone has a functional link to the road tutorial? Aswell as undergrowth and overgrowth?
