Anybody who has been in the forces knows full well that rifles in an armoury are personally checked in by the armourer who ensures there is no ammo in them. Note the lack of magazines on the rifles? Ammo is kept seperately for the main armoury area that we were in. Pointing rifles at civvies (loaded or not) is an offense but where we were, not a major issue

So true, anyone who does not handle weapons on a regular basis will always want to squeeze the trigger, just to see what it feels like, but even then some 'trained' soldiers are just as bad, a soldier whilst in Iraq played with his trigger, unfortunately the weapon was 'made ready' & his safety had been knocked off, the end result was me being covered head to toe in red sticky stuff You may know about this one UK_Force it was featured in a 'Lads mag' as a little comic strip & in the December 2003 edition of 'The Hump', Gunfight at the CSE Corral.

I know what you mean, we recently had a guy (TA) attached to us in Afgahn who on unloading his 9mm, decided to pop a 9mm through his foot ....lol

Looks like you guys had a pretty good time

Mate i am gutted nobody has commented about how amazing my lesson to everybody was! I thought i was sheer class, i fitted 3-4 days worth of training into about 45 minutes, they are all Army radio experts as well.

hehe, that lesson was really cool playing around with the radio stuff, problem is I cant remember much about how to use the stuff now thou
