there where just 10 people on 64 kashan.

i was on a squad whit thor and another tactic member, after both of them get into a tank they driven to the frontline. thor said i shouldnt get into the MBT i was in, so a asked "what should i do then?" no response, so i sayd "i get the tank" thor replied "no you dont.".
well, then i replied "then i sit in the main base then.." sarcastic.

"STEVE darkerlightofday KICKED! shooting/stealing other players vehicles."
I think you have our server confused with another - we have not admins named "thor" nor does one wear a tag with -tactic-.

(my record for "tank at C3kp4" is 1.5 seconds. :P )
We're not a clan.

We do not kick players from our server if they don't have a mic.

Again, it sounds like this wasn't even on our server.

Got banned a while back when I first started playing for some really stupid reason I can't even remember (accidental TK maybe?). Heard similar stories from other respectable, average players. Anyways, not worth the trouble to get unbanned.

I hate getting kicked to make room for a supporting member then find that there is only 60/64 people in the server. Was that really needed?

Yer same happened to me last night?!

Dont really like this ban now ask questions later, very underhand tatics considering it was a legitimate mistake on my part and their was no contact with me at all?

CBA with posting on their forum and probably ending in a slanging match, plenty more servers in teh sea!!11 :p

Wasnt complaining was mearly voicing my opinion 8)

Plus it means I have to register on their forums and then voice my opinion again, and i'm not really that arsed ;)

So you accidentally TK'd once, apologized and the nasty admins brought down the mighty banhammer on your head, right? Highly doubt there wasn't more to the story than that.

Plus if average well-meaning players keep getting banned on a whim, its not exactly encouraging to keep playing on the server - having to go back to their forums to appeal again and again.

It doesn't really bother me, considering there are plenty of other servers to play on, just thought I'd voice my experience on the matter. And no, I don't intend on trying to get back in the server. My loss, right...?

Half the players that try to connect and get the "You've been kicked/banned for excessive teamkilling" are people trying to connect when the server is at 62 or 63 slots occupied. We only have 62 open slots, so if you connect at less than 64/64 that is the message you get. It only shows the "Server full" message when it is 64/64.

Of course, my first course of action after getting that message would be to go post about the server and it's admins on these forums. Makes perfect sense to me....

Bans aren't issued at the drop of a hat; however, there are sure-fire ways to get banned instantly with no warning:

) racial slurs in chat
) insult the server, the community or the admins
) teamkill for a kit or a vehicle

In our opinion, you don't need a warning or kick for these actions, as it is common sense and should be PR-etiquette not to do these things on any server.

well I was in server when banned, and I had teamkilled, but not for vehicle, I was waiting for my SL and SQ to pick me up in an APC, and then 10 mins later after accidental Teamkill I get banned, nothing to do with reserve slots

I then straight away messaged you diposable, and you told me the same, go to the forums

Got too many other things to do like look after my own server rather than pleading to get back on yours IAF

and also I wasnt the OP of this complaint, I was just giving my view on his plite not mine

Correct, I did tell you to do that because I was not the admin that banned you. We let the admins that ban players handle their appeals for obvious reasons.

Regardless, it's not worth arguing about.

Best of luck.

Why do the admins of TacticalGamer kick people to make room for supporters when there is room available?

Solid Knight wrote:Why do the admins of TacticalGamer kick people to make room for supporters when there is room available?
This has been explained before, but here goes anyway.

The admins DO NOT kick people to make room for supporters - period.

The server has 2 reserved slots. Those slots are used so that a script can run in the background and also allow supporting members to join an otherwise "full" server. When the person joining is a supporting member, the script finds the non-supporting member who has been on the server with the longest connect time for their current session and kicks them to make room for the supporting member.

That's it - pure and simple. We don't hover over CC all day waiting to kick people and keep tabs on their time. It's purely an automated system.

Now, to the issue of kicking when the server is not full. I have noticed this as well and have asked that the script be double-checked to make sure that it is only functioning when there are 62 players or more on the server. Some times the server may show fewer than 62, but it is entirely possible that there are more players connecting at the time and that all slots are full.

Ive never understood kicking the longest person? surely it should be someone who has just joined....

ie theyve done less in the game than this guy whos probably stayed as hes been in a squad for hours....
