what exactly do you mean? If you are talking about choppers, then it wasn't even supposed to work good. :D

There was one small bug however, wich was removed after the video.

are you still working on that project?

Well It didn't really look like they gun stayed on target when the tanked moved.

spaz can you even change the damage that a gun does? this is a great change, i dont care if he cant make it work 100% if he keeps tweaking it then it should get better.

That is a bf2 bug (i'm pretty sure it is a bug), no pitch stabilization while looking left/right, and no yaw stabilization while tank is on 90° slope :) . So as long as you're looking straight forward you have 100% pitch and yaw stabilization.
Mora; wrote:are you still working on that project?
No, I've done pretty much everything that could be done regarding regulatePitch/Yaw stuff. But there still may be other ways to make a better stabilization, so don't lose hope.

Like I said, won't be better if I'll just keep tweaking. It should already work 100%, but due to the bug, it doesn't. (Thank you EA)
And no need to show hostility toward Spaz, he's just saying how it is.

CAS_117 wrote:Ok when the camera is turned 90 degrees is the camera pitching? Look closely Mosquill. The camera is actually rolling relative the the X/Y/Z axis. Objecttemplate.regulateroll anyone?
I see what you mean, but it's not that. Objecttemplate.regulate stuff works relatively to the object it was applied to.

It's hard to explain the nature of that bug, but I'll try. You see, when the stabilized turret rotates 45° right, the pivot of the stabilizational axis(pitch in this case) rotates 45° left and stabilizes according to that direction. So instead of it 45° it's -45°. But when rotation of the turret is either 0 or 180° the pivot's rotation mathces turret's rotation and as a result pitch stabilization works fine.

So, unfortunately, it's not because of Roll.

Nope, I can't do shit with the editor, I just told him what i think about it......

And you are going to critisize his work without comparing it to the original?
Im just said what i think about it.....

Everyone goes OMG YOU DID SOMETHING NICE!!! ITS GREAT!!!! everytime someone makes a new skin model or tweak and if someone say something bad about his an *******.... I really really hate ppl.

Instead of putting 1.3864 in somewhere try -1.3864, if you guess right it could fix it. It may not but its worth a try.
Yes you are right, but that "-" needs to be put directly into the source code unfortunatlely, because it is a bug. I've already tried 95% of all possible tweaking options, but with no success.

+1
People should understand that with reasonable critisism comes improvement.

I was working on this in November but didn't have enough time to get it done unfortunately. I started work on it again in January and think its pretty good product. We should definitely compare notes tho so feel free to contact me with what you have.

So now we have stabilization on tanks. Is anyone working on stabilization for the attack choppers? Because that will also be a great improvement.

As you know, I've tried that already. Since pitch stabilization is really bugged, there was no big improvement. In fact, my gunner said there was a very little difference in handling (although I haven't tried gunning myself).

And if heli stabilization will be added, you'll get either a missmatch in head/gun's viewing direction, or a stabilized head.

He? What? I know the pitch stabilization is bugged but that's no reason to not implant it. The yaw seems to work fine don't know about roll but, what about your video.. it seems to work there. Sure there needs to be some tweaks there. You can atleast try and every little bit helps

But I've tried! I was working on it for weeks, and I failed. Stabilization is still very bugged. It's not difficult to put it on choppers, but it doesn't help much anyway.
