Cause whenever I think okay time to get a knife kill and I whip out my knife they hear it and whip around with a hail of fire. The point is shooting is a better idea.

I got some tips.

Always follow your squad leader's orders. In most cases, only experienced players think they have what it takes to lead their own squad. Therefore, trust them, and give them the benefit of the doubt if you think they might be making the wrong decisions. There is no greater waste of an infantry asset than an insubordinate squad member.

Always, always, ask your squad leader if you can fire on an enemy target. If your squad is supposed to be stealthily approaching an enemy position, your itchy trigger finger will cost your squad immensely. Wait for the order to fire!

If your squad leader has decided to split your squad up into two or more fireteams, and you get confused about which team you are on, do not hesitate to ask the squad leader to restate the teams. If you continue to bumble around without knowing exactly where you are supposed to be, you could potentially ruin whatever plan the squad leader has in mind.

Squad Leaders, if you are being resisted by the enemy on one front, you will only waste tickets and time by continuing to respawn and assault that same front. Move your squad around the enemy, and start to attack them from there.

It is much easier to defend than it is to attack. Perhaps you would do better defending your own team's position rather than attacking the other team's position.

Call retreats often and early. Never, ever, try to force an attack. If it looks like it isn't going to work, pull your men out of there immediately and try a different plan.

If you are retreating, try to find a good defensible position to reach once you are out of the enemy's sight. Most players are overeager to chase down retreating squads, so if you are able to find a good position, the enemy will literally run into your bullets, thinking you are still running away.

Remember, area attacks are available every hour. Use them! Any commander will gladly fulfill your request, but only if you make one.

If you forget how the keypad grid coordinate system works, simply look down at your keyboard. Your numpad is an easy reminder as to which grid is which.

Destroying insurgent cars has only one effect, 20 minute spawn. They don't lose tickets if you destroy thier cars so save you phosphorous/thermite(not sure withc one it is) for a cache or door/gate guarding a cache or hideout.

your sniper kit is not useful to the squad when going door to door through the city.

- If at first you don't sucsseed, try try again, just do it on a training server!

- Be sure to warn your team about any AA positions or anti-vehicular threats that you spot. Aircraft and heavy vehicles can only do their job properly if you're doing yours!

- Spot targets for your attack helicopters and jets by lasing them or giving a grid reference. Pilots can wreak havoc on the enemy if they have good spotters on the ground guiding them in.

- Remember the combat food chain! APC beats infantry, tank beats APC, jet beats tank, anti-air beats jet. Don't go after something you know you can't destroy!

Insurgent does not loose tickets when they die. It is entirely possible for every bluefor to have 20 kills and 7 deaths and still loose the game because they fail to destroy the insurgent weapons caches.

Warning: Mumble will increase the risk of having good teamwork.

Bullets will miss if you move around to much. Try aiming at your target for an extended period of time before shooting if you have trouble hitting your target.

If you hit your opponent several times and he is still alive, do not assume he is cheating. Delays in internet traffic (lag) can create situations where opponents are seen to react as if hit, while they are in fact not so. Try connecting to a server with lower ping if you experience this alot.

When you enter a transport helicopter, please tell the pilot where to take you. Yelling GOGO will only lead to a confused and angry pilot. Please do not request transport pilots to take you to areas where there is alot of fighting going on. Pilots have all the right to say no if you choose a destination in an hostile area.

Remember, Rambo tactis in PR works as well as in the un-modded version of PR. Join a squad, go rambo and when you die spawn at your SL, rinse and repeat! (This is a tip to teach vbf2ers a lesson :) )

To get the most accuracy out of your sniper rifle, stay still for a few seconds ( 8) .

As much as I think that making these texts cut and dried will also make them boring, I would put a few heads-up for people who are beginning/returning to PR.

I don't see anything wrong with telling people that alt-f4 is the "end-of-the-world spell".

I'd probably put in something about not grabbing any kit you want.

Do not set booby traps and mines on your spawn point / cache, Walk the walk and ambush the enemy's high traffic roads / supply lines.

-----------------

Mines are twice more effective when you cannot see them, Hide your mines under roadside garbage / rocks.

-----------------

When you can see the enemy, The enemy can see you.

-----------------

Booty call : Grab your victim's gear, who knows you might get lucky!

I didn't say it was idiot proof to use a knife, but if there are more enemies close by then knifing one will often give you a geographical ( <- couldn't find a better word ) advantedge.
