As far as I'm aware the Bushmaster can't hold the .50 RWS because its too heavy and damages the roof, so that completely eliminates the possibility of putting a Jav on there as well. Only the MAG58 RWS can be fitted to a bushmaster. The .50's are mounted to the ASLAV's.

Take this as a note.
Note: I don't want to ever go against Tonnie15. Or he will get the pictures.
Anyway from as far as I can tell with the picture above ^^
It can hold a .50

Dear Mr General Fuct
I have it on very good authority, that the Australian bushmaster variants, do indeed have the ability and ARE equipped with M2 HB QCB 12.7mm machine guns from ADI mounted on several variants of "CROWS" like mounting systems. there are a number of variants currently in service with the ADF this being mostly due to the Rapid Acquisition requests that have been recently issued. also please be aware i believe that initial trial exercises are underway with RWS systems from KONGSBERG defense and aerospace, for the implementation of a Direct Fire Support Weapons Station, for use with specialized Bushmaster Variants.
if how ever you have information pertaining to this situation, in contrast to my current evaluation, i would find it laudable if you could share that information, as i appreciate any and all input on this and other subjects. the more information we can gather together means a superior outcome for all of us involved. wouldn't you agree Mr general Fuct.
yours sincerely
Mr Anglomanii
p.s the Bushmaster IMV/PMV series are constructed with a fully enclosed monocoque high hardness steel welded construction chassis, some versions have even more protection due to passive and active protection systems, and internally integrated uparmouring capabilities.

IMO when hitting a mine or IED its should be heavely damaged and/or on fire but they should not explode, these great vehicles allready saved a good number of lives in Afghanistan.
Also the reason why we ordered more.
*edit: i just read the newspaper that a bushmaster hit an IED today in the Baluchi valley, one soldier wounded.
*luckely not critical, they informed their relatives themselfs.

no i mean the 6x6 units being made by oshkosh defence
Oshkosh severe-duty trucks for defense, military, army, marines and armed forces
the counter ied variants are cool though, only the dutch are fielding them actively ATM
the latest bushmaster variants i know about are called "global bushmaster" they are easy to spot, they have 2 steps instead of one at the back door. ( and a bunch of other kit too)

6x6 wow, the 4x4 ones are huge allready, a 6x6 wil be a monter

Will it have a specific task for that size or is it like the name says plain Bushmaster 2?

from what i can gather from the "defense insider" and a few other sources the entire bushmaster series, was designed from scratch to be completely modular in construction.
i heard a rumor (dont quote me, it could just be a Boeing geek trying to fool me) one of the original design sketches had a 8x8 format and was able to run positracks as well. and with the j-ltv program being mooted we might have a mini bushmaster on the cards!
fun times hey!
edit) i have no idea what the bushmaster 2's will be like, they are just a rumor for now.
everything else is still current BM types.

small update i just received from a colleague.
he confirmed that the Bushmaster IMV will be one of the platforms chosen to receive the javelin DFGW (direct fire guided weapon), as will the aslav, it is still not clear if a DFSW (direct fire support weapon)will be selected as well.
date of deployment is still sometime away, as far as i know.
