Haha, and yeah to the above! A lot of pilots in the Battle of Coral Sea and Midway were Australians in US planes, and were famous for their low level flying! But Britain and the US get all the showtime in games and all that. You should see more of other important militaries, like Canada, Germany, ADF (the list goes on!).

I DO think Aussies were know more for WW1 than WW2, (not an expert on Australian military history ) but yeah I can believe you guys contributed to the pacific seeing as how your the closest allied country to Japan...anyways as a Canadian in Australia I still know a bit more about your average person on your military history XD...

Also almost all commonwealth pilots were trained in the prairies of central Canada, so were prison camps...safe from attack...wide plains to train in and apparently soldiers in prison camps were treated very well.

After writing this I actually remembered about Dutch Forces...I have heard stories from my step brother (SEAL in training) who in turn heard stories from frontline troops...the Dutch do a very good job training their soldiers and that many soldiers have had their butts saved by them numerous times...
