Re: Reality Teamwork Mumble Server

-I'm gonna pwn all over mumble today!
Yep - its a problem everyday after about 11pm GMT, when many of the different small groups of clan members start to leave. Im trying to encourage more US players to join our community, so that they can "take over" from the EU players late at night, but very soon, the US players will be getting their own RT server, and then I suspect the Reality Teamwork EU server will "die" every late evening.Dr2B Rudd wrote: Good rounds, but towards the end of the night random pubbers join who didn't use mumble.
Its great youre enjoying Reality TeamworkPepsiMachine wrote:Epic server.
Every time I've joined, I've had a bunch of fun, especially with 3/4 of the server on Mumble. PR may be a walk simulator at times, but the guys on the server make that walk awesome. Couldn't organize knife fights and crewman rushes on any other server.
And a bonus: from Chicago, I get a decent 120 ping.
Were you using Mumble?Gary wrote:Hello every body,
Today *RR* admins have kicked all squad #Eagle arbitrary, without warning, well without any reasons.
Now i have read *RR* forum server, and i understand better.
But i want to condemn the bad behaviour of *RR* admins.
They have kicked #Eagle squad who play since 2,5 years on P.R. with better results on 9 maps on 10 played.
I would just add P.R. communauty can progress if the old teams share their knowledges and their experiences of this difficult game with the news P.R. gamers. I don't think a kick for welcomes is a good solution. Remember that !
Usually, i don't come to write something on this forum because my english is very bad. But this time, i wanted to speak about that. Because this behaviour don't serve this excellent game and of course the excellent job of the [R-Dev].
Well, the Eagles will go to give their experience on others servers.
Regards,
Gary ( Leader of #Eagle team ).
*RR* Donate the server to the Reality Teamwork Community - they are not responsible for the admining of it. Unfortunately PR have forced us to put *RR* in the server name to "prevent confusion"Gary wrote:Hello every body,

Space, RR hold the server licence so you need their name in the servername. As you well know, if you want to sort this out, you need a server licence of your own. Until then the RR name stays. It IS about preventing confusion, for US. RR hold the server licence, not Reality Teamwork, and having their name in the servername makes that very clear. Its the same rules for everyone.space wrote:*RR* Donate the server to the Reality Teamwork Community - they are not responsible for the admining of it. There is no rule about server names other than having the version number in it, so its not the same rules for everyone - it is in fact its extra rules for RT.[R-DEV]Drav wrote:Space, RR hold the server licence so you need their name in the servername. Pack it in Space, and quit bending the truth. We've spoken about this, and tried to help you, so no need to big yourself up and make out you're a victim here.space wrote:There is no rule about server names other than having the version number in it, so its not the same rules for everyone - it is in fact its extra rules for RT.
Look at the server list atm - several servers called "coffee shop" etc, and there always has been - they don't experience any problems, because there is no such rule in the license.
Anyway I applied for a server license for RT, and was told I cant have one.
We requested you use *RR* in the server name because YOU do not possess a license. In fact, you have effectively obtained server files from *RR*. Leaking the server files is a breach of the license, for which we could have revoked *RR*'s license - effectively putting an end to them, and you.Server Name
Upon Signing this agreement, you agree with the following:
- I will include in the name of my PR server the version number. The Current version number is: v0.809. If I need to update my server to a newer version I will also update the version number to reflect what is running on my server. I understand that failing to put a version number in my server name will result in my server license being removed and my server becoming disabled.
I think you misunderstand how RT works. We are a community based on an idea.[R-DEV]epoch wrote: We requested you use *RR* in the server name because YOU do not possess a license. Ouch dude! Same side![R-DEV]epoch wrote:My suggestion to you is that you take the advice you've been given, cut the ****, and sort yourself out. You server is popular - let's keep it that way.
Its still way to early for weekdays (apart from maybe 2hrs a day), and even weekends are hard to fill at the moment, but everyday more people try the server and mumble for the first time - pretty much all these people love it, and keep coming back.Mr.Hyde wrote: Anyways, when is this server going to be passworded on the weekdays? Is there anything in the works to make that happen yet or is it still too early?
The server is still owned by *RR* - they control the server files, and I have never touched or seen the files, nor do I want to. Their clan likes the idea behind RT, so they allow the server to be called RT and allow me and others to admin it to RT's rules.
