Agree, there's alot of gamers that would love to experience Normandy in a multiplayer game - me included. I'm pretty sure that this event will even draw some FH2 loyalists. There is also the possibility that some community members with time on their hands will be inspired and do something about it...we'll see.

My intake of how the map might be. I can imagine the beach landings, americans pushing up to the flag - or a serie of them - and cap it/them (and I guess the grappling hook will play a big role). Nothing abnormal here, but I have to admit that the Willys MB makes me scratch my head. The only guess for its inclusion is that once the americans cap the first flag(s) then the Willys MB will spawn there. Meaning that the last line of defense for the germans will take place beyond the beach area.
If true, it's going to be epic.

It's called Project Normandy for a reason ;) .

Stop guessing now :p .

Btw, FH2 is much better looking and detailed. PN is only a mini-addon, using assets (mostly) from Battlegroup Frontlines.

Project Normandy? Nah, I went into this thread hoping to see plans for hardcore Ostfront tankbattles from Hell :(

Awesome to see that something is being made, though! :p

Germans from BGF, Americans from EOD. Perhaps not entirely accurate, but with PR-WW2 it's give or take ;) .

Where will the americans spawn to board the LCVPs?

EDIT: In a port it seems. Also nice to read that you decided to remove the specialist kits once on the beach. Let the americans figure that out by themselves in the first day. :P

What is the lenght of the beach from water to cliffs? 300 meters?

EDIT II: Shame about the destroyable razor wire not working btw. :\

Good to see some progress on this matter.

I hope the beach scenario in the pic is Juno. Cos I freaking hate Dog Green and Omaha type maps where u run towards MG fire without any particular cover... :-/ That isn't fun on neither side after awhile...
