More towards the Kokan feel with compounds and small villages with those typical Afghan fields but with a few more hills 
I always like the one considerably close quarter map with Militia v. Russia. Russians usually take iron sights because of the distance and militia is forced to take iron sights. Close quarters mayhem ensues.
But if you want only iron sights v. iron sights, you could create sort of a "tribal" faction that would fight other tribes. Or a Libyan faction and a Rebel faction (both used untouched Kalashnikovs almost exclusively).
