Moving your mouse increases deviation if moved enough. Stay still, crouch/prone.
It's possible that you hit a leg or arm, in which case it isn't a 1 shot kill, iirc.

I know how to snipe I used to do it all the time. and stance doesn't mater you can be standing and still make the same shots you would if you were prone.

Actually, a leg or arm shot is a 1 shot kill with a sniper rifle.
I always aim for the legs, much easier to hit than the head and does the same job.

Must be retarded bf2 hitreg, acts stupid from time to time, iive had rounds sometimes when i coudl snipe just perfectly, next time i was missiong perfect shots like a moron...

Yep, hitreg sometomes can go absolutely retarded. Once me and my squadleader (who was playing from a different country) experienced it while engaging some militia in Fools Road woods. It was mainly CQC so we could see the three or four smoke puffs before the enemy infantryman actually took any damage from our bullets. And it was like that the whole round (I think we didn't play it till the end because we got really pissed off at the hitreg, it was totally destorying the gameplay).

Depends on the rifle. Multiple times I have hit the chest with an M40 and people don't die. I can see they definetly got hit because they run off to get healed with field dressings/medics.

Reread what a wrote, i said aim for the legs and arms not the chest.
A hit to the chest will usually put them black and white
