I think for the average numpty that existing system works best just because it advances in detail in a very linear fashion thats extremely simple to follow.

Major X/Y Grid
Keypad within Grid
Subpad within Keypad

For someone saying it out to themselves they can isolate the position in the order of the phrase; find the grid, find the keypad, find the subkeypad. In the end a shorter nomenclature would just lead to a higher net delay given the frequency that you'd be explaining yourself.

The only place this would take on is in a dedicated community with their own SOP that they train with constantly multiple times a week so that the habit overtakes the recreational pubbing of PR where oldschool would be so prevalent as to just be confusing to anyone trying to hack it out with some new fancy army tested system.

Yeah I can't even follow on my own idea. I tried it and got a bunch of "WTF?!" from the regulars  Still gonna try it!

What If, on the map you right click on the desired location. A menu pops up with the options; All, Team, and Squad. Witch ever you click on it opens the chat bar with the grid coordinates already typed. All you have to do is type your message. Your thoughts.....
