I had a side winder I got around in the 90's. I lost it though. I'll probably get
Cyborg F.L.Y. 5 Stick for PC - GameShark? Store looks really neat. I like how the throttle is like that. Sidewinder was like a little snub lol. Thanks Rhino and everyone else. Not too smart about hardware but this should be compatible with BF3 when releases right? With the right drivers and all

I think any working usb joystick would be usable in BF3, as BF3 will probably have a flight controls configuration section in the options so you could custom program it to your stick.

I have the adjustable Cyborg by Saitek. It's pretty awesome, but the ONLY, and I mean only downside is that it doesn't have the flippy switch and then the push button for missiles. You know what I mean, right? Anyways, it was a good buy and I'd do it again, a very stable joystick as I had two Logitech Attack 3s before this one. The 8-way hat switch works pretty well and the throttle as far as I can tell only works with the left throttle and the right is a dummy. Buttons on the base are useless and I don't use them. If I had enough money I would buy the HOTAS Warthog Controller by Thrustmaster - not so cheap.

You mean a HAT switch? ye that might be quite annoying, epically if your like me and you configure all your views to it since BF2 dosen't have trackIR.

HOTAS - Hands On Throttle and Stick - Thrustmaster T.16000M Test and Review

I'm talking about the cover over a button that when you see it in the movies people usually dramatically flip it open and say "Fox 1 away!" or something to that effect while pressing it. Instead of using a button like on my old Attack 3, I just have the hat switch down set as the secondary mode of fire.

Yeah, the twist is the only reason i dont like it. Its a real pain when I try to play IL-2, i have to use my keyboard for the rudder :_(

Can you configure you HAT switch to work in PR? I've been trying to configure it with no luck.

I'm currently using a Thrustmaster T flight HOTAS X (sexy name) and it's brilliant. very high quality and very rugged with strong motors. features twisty rudder, throttle control and you can detach the flight stick from the throttle for more comfort. its ergonomics are top notch and it was relatively cheap at ?25 (GBP) .
The only thing i dot use the throttle for is when I'm in helos i find it much easier to use W and S to control my throttle.
my 2nd recommendation would my a Logitech attack 3 that was my first one and lasted me for 3 years until its motors finally went.

Yes, its simple with Saitek sticks because you can just use there program software to do it

Not sure how you would go about it with other sticks, other than download some crappy program

the spiderman codpiece joystick...........can you guess where the web zipline comes from?
seriously though, i have a logitech attack 3, and its great. its also left handed. the throttle is a bit enoying but there isnt a better throttle attached to a joystick afaik. if you want a throttle i guess you could buy one seperatly. i havnt run into any bugs. and it hasnt tilted or damaged in any way in the year taht i have it.

I use Saitek AV8R - it's cheap and it's good + it has a bonus throtle, which is really helpful in other sims such as LOMAC
