Does it work in helicopters for you?

When I jump in choppers, the movement appears a lot more laggy than in jets.

the link for facetracknoir is
http://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/information_links/download.htm

keep in mind that Facetracknior is currently uncompilable with newer processors such as i3 and i5
"info under known bugs"

It wasnt working with mine and i am running an i5

( NEW ) I actually downloaded it again got it up and running after the stupid Waterfall procedure error went away after uninstalling the IPP library Intel **** thingy . . NOW only trying to figure out how to get the Facetrack Noir to work with the BF2 Freelook and work with the game .... looking for tips :P

I tried freetracknoir, but i wear glasses so the reflection from my lenses would throw off the tracking. However with no glasses it work perfectly although moving my head dont mean **** if i cannot see the screen without my glasses on. Win7 64 bit on a i5 OC to 3.8ghz.

I went back to using freetrack and a home made IR led setup for my headset. Will take a look at this addon.

I get an error :/

Edit: Oh i had to uninstall IPP-runtime and get a working one from http://www.seeingmachines.com/product/f ... downloads/

Is there a way to make the middle dead zone smaller? Also there is a really annoying delay in movement. About 1 second. A killer if you ask me.

Does this affect the missile system? As in the pilot being able to launch a missile from a 180 degree angle?

To clarify things for everyone, by newer processors he means Sandybridge processors.

If you have a Sandybridge and still want to use facetracknoir, either wait for update 1.6 or donate to the facetrack devs and they will give you the 1.6 beta.

I have a condition that makes my eyes wobble so cannot wear them, they would end up rolled up at the corner of my eyes. Ive had the condition since birth so my brain has developed a steady cam feature and every thing looks normal (not wobbleing) unless im drunk then the fun starts as my brain starts to lagg.

?160 for trackir and head clip and cannot use it as a imput device for freetrack so you can look about in bf2. Freeware is the future. Has any one modded the trackir drivers so you can use it as a web cam. All it dose it filter out normal light and look for IR. you could use freetrack and a Wii remote or web cam with the headclip from your track IR setup that would work.

I was using a modified version I made from the FreeFalcon.ini, I put up a link so that you can get it if you want it.

I also used Freetrack so that I could set the gameprotocol in FaceTrackNoIR to "Freetrack" so that BF2Freelook could understand the

If you didn't understand what I was talking about look at these two screenshots:

I am not 100% sure if the option to use Freetrack isn't there if you do not have Freetrack installed, so correct me if I am wrong.

Ok, this is what I did:

1. Download all Freetrack, FacetrackNoIR and Bf2 freelook and install all 3 of them.
2. Open FacetrackNoIR and BF2 Freelook as admin.
3. Edit FacetrackNoIR settings in the facetrackNoIR window:
  • Game Protocol = "FreeTrack".

4. Run PR.
5. Modify the FacetrackNoIR settings until you are pleased with the results.

ELSE: If you would like to you could download my settings file and load it in FacetrackNoIR to use the same settings as I used, then modify them to fit your needs.

This made it work for me.
