*shrugs* Maybe I'm not noticing it for some reason then. I dunno. But whatever, the only thing I dislike really is when the standard speed gets increased. Sprinting doesn't bother me THAT much, but the standard movement speed should be a walk imo.Mj Pain wrote:Seriously, i have and the change is that drastic![]()

That brings up another question, is it just me or is the crouching aim down your sights walk, faster than the standing aim down your sights walkSpec wrote:*shrugs* Maybe I'm not noticing it for some reason then. I agree with the lower the stamina requirement to sprint by a couple of bars. The rest is perfect!

I would decrease the acceleration a bit more, it's still quite fast but a definate improvement from the previous.

Re: Soldier Acceleration
The thing about faster stamina regeneration is that it's actually possible to run into cover if you've just jumped to get pass a sidewalk curve. I love that. No more "Oh I'm getting shot at... better walk to cover"....

I like the changes to acceleration and sprint speed, regen rate etc. Jumping being blocked when next to low objects is a little frustrating but all in all one happy bunny/virtual warrior

Oh my god guys now i know why that part of the forum was closed for such a long time. Do you know, that this topic is about acceleration of a soldier? Not about speed, not about crouching aiming speed, not about jumping but about acceleration of a soldierSgt. so please cease the offtopic at least here. And separate things discuss in separate topics.

Re: Soldier Acceleration
I doubt you'll be able to run fast when you're extremely tired, even if you're being shot at. The thing is that it takes incredible amount of stamina to jump. IIRC it was supposed to prevent from bunnyhoping, but DEVs haven't noticed so far that's not doing anything, because you still can jump when you're out of stamina.Sgt. Agreed and pretty true.Lugi wrote:I doubt you'll be able to run fast when you're extremely tired, even if you're being shot at.
Don't agree. I think it's fulfilling it's role. The best solution is to fix game objects and in future ones make them more interacting friendly. Like with Rhino fences, which IMO are great or like fixed and optimized sidewalks curves on Fallujah.Lugi wrote:The thing is that it takes incredible amount of stamina to jump. Re: Soldier Acceleration
When you scope in while walking you are slower then people moving crouched or moving crouched while scoped in. When you look down your sights while crouching you also get a faster "move-animation" but you are just as fast as anyone else whos moving crouched without being scoped in.Lord Jesus wrote:That brings up another question, is it just me or is the crouching aim down your sights walk, faster than the standing aim down your sights walk

How exactly? You can still bunnyhop easily.Kain888 wrote:Don't agree. I think it's fulfilling it's role.

Re: Soldier Acceleration
Yes, but it leaves you with clunky animation and without sprint so it's way better to run away than bunny hop. Bunny hopping = death in 98%*. So it's pretty much doing the job, although not banning bunny hoping per se.Lugi wrote:How exactly? You can still bunnyhop easily.

Re: Soldier Acceleration
bunny hopping is useless because you actually spend more time in the view of the enemy
bunny hoppers are annoying to me because they break immersion, but in a way I want to thank them for the extra 2-3 seconds of time I can spend shooting at them compared to if they just ran away.

So why do we still need to have every jump consume enormous amount of stamina?[R-DEV]Rudd wrote:bunny hopping is useless because you actually spend more time in the view of the enemy

to me sprinting feels very instant, a bit slower acceleration would be nice

A middle ground between 0.95 and this one, as it is, it feels slightly unrealistic.

Re: Soldier Acceleration
I like the current accel settings.
It feels more realistic.
But I would like to see longer recovery time but longer sprinting time.
That might be more realistic as well.

Re: Soldier Acceleration
You can't get more realistic. I love the way it is.
I think it's WAY better then .95!
