I don't think anyone was being serious. I was resisting the urge to make a random furry joke along the lines of posting a furry-ish picture containing the text "I will furfill all your needs" or something. But I did of course not post that, because that'd have been silly. I wasn't commenting on the fact that there was a typo. In fact, I'm not even sure if that wasn't intentionally written that way. I'm sorry if any reader thought so.

I understood Arcturus_Shielders' post as a joke, too.
