Just a question why no pro gaming for PR ? I know to get into MLG you have to pay in gold bars, but why nowhere else ? Too hard for the "Pro" gamers ? or they still only play 1.6 ?
Just wondering, I get in regular "discussions" with my roommates (SC2 players), and some (Fisher price)COD players, about how PR is a few steps up from regular "shooters"
They argue that is it was soo good it would be sponsored, and that COD takes some kind of "Skills". I always say spray and pray is not Skill, and the other big games pay to get spots.
I end up frustrated, and dissapoint when I browse the game websites/forums these days![]()
I need all SLs and all SMs to signup AGAIN. I know, but lets do it. Sorry for the inconvenience.I need to inform you about this bunch of problems, errors and mistakes, happened to the TART (and also the PRTA) website yesterday.
It was nescessairy, to shut down the server, to upgrade the operating system and fix some bugs and security vulnerabilities. It needed to be done as soon as possible.
The website is backed up two times a day - once in the early morning and once in prime time, which should normally enough... well thought but that did not prevent the hard drive from crashing, when I was importing a backup of the database.
The backup which was auto-created before the one I tried to import, is mostly corrupt. We could not get any useful data back into the database. All ones from before a automatically deleted after 12 hours (which was a big fault).
I have worked on a more redundant system, which stores the backups of the database on multiple external locations. At least I added a funcational integrity check, to prevent corrupted backup files.
That's all what I can say for now. The whole thing is really embarrasing for us, and most of all for me. Wicca is innocent (but only this time).
I would like to excuce for the effort and the inconvenience.
