You should be, as the first method that the exe uses is to look 2 directories up for the BF2.exe. After that it tries to look in the registry.

Or the other way round ... but if one fails it tries the other ... so yea it should work ... but like I say, I can't be 100% this is just from memory :p

There might still be a problem with it wanting to read the profile directories, as this is not set up for Bad Company again. If the game launches, you will probably have an error in game where it will say that you need to use the pr.exe to launch. If that happens then its because its expecting the directory name for your profiles to be BF2 rather than BFBC2.

Jeez its never ending lol ... first it was the EA downloader version screwing things ... then it was the steam version (and that ones a nightmare because steam closes BF2 and then launches it again) ... and now this lol !!!

OK ... scratch all this requiem. Been talking to AncientMan ... BF2BC is a completely separate game .... ( I thought it was some kind of expansion or addon).

You need to install BF2 lol.

You have "Battlefield: Bad Company 2" (BFBC2). This is a completely separate game, and is in absolutely no way compatible with PR:BF2. It is a completely separate engine even...

This is the game you have:

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on Steam

The game you need is "Battlefield 2" (BF2)

Battlefield 2: Complete Collection on Steam

What the flip... this pees me off lol, should have known that EA would release a million remix's in the meantime. Now I feel like I bought one of those "real" iPhone 5's in shanghai.

Actually. If the founder wants to play PR on BFBC2, ya'll should be working on making it possible! :p
