After being away for a year or so due to some personal issues , i got back into online gaming with the release of battlefield 3
and iv got to tell you what a load of sh*t ........ i played project reality for a good 2 years hence the personal problems

and i was thinking bf3 might have learned from the modders and actually made a game worth playing but alas no there didn't
so now i want to come back to pr , but to do that im going to have to go buy bf2 from somewhere ? [not sure where yet] and start downloading everything again
any help would be good , as in where to find a copy of bf2 ? is bf2 all i need ? cant remember ? what pr update im going to need , ect ect
and anything else iv forgotten
thank you

Only bf2 patched to 1.41 and then to 1.5. Latest PR client files, install them in order, and add in some Mumble, wich you can find info about in the General discussion page.
Thats it.

Why don't you guys just promote BF2 on steam, its patched up straight from retail and project reality ready. You could maybe even convince steam to start mod support for games outside of the source engine? if you all could get featured on steam that would be give you a HUGE increase in players.
In fact I think you all would have more luck convincing steam to feature BF2 mod support than asking EA for retail privileges. since BF2 is already featured on steam, and mod support is completely non-profit, its completely within steam's legal rights to release mod support without having to contact EA.

I use a Chinese pre-patched pre-installed pack that only need entering cdkey and install PR to run. Since I bought BF2 legally anyway.
It is from SAGA clan and is clean.
It is very possible to make a pack like that, but also include PR, and distribute it online illeglly.

Oh its downloadable from origin?
Maybe the PR installer could optionally control the origin downloader to get an almost automated complete BF2/PR installation?

Would be nice, to have a simple solution as suggested with Steam, origin or both. And then just pop the links in the download section.
