One problem is that despite the armour they would be more vulnerable to enemy fire than the current Logi trucks, but they'd also be slower.

A shame, but until the 'vehicle penetration' stats are fixed it's going to remain, I feel.

Personally I think it's fine the way it is, a bit boring for the CO at times, but it works well enough.

Spiked, I think that you misunderstood the point of those links. I did not link the real world command and control vehicles to be modeled. I linked them because there was an argument presented that a mobile command vehicle would be "unrealistic." As shown by the links, every single real world conventional faction represented in Project reality uses a mobile command and control vehicle. Within PR, there would be no problem using models that are already in game. Several of the ones linked are already in game however, such as the LAV, LAV III, Namer, and R-166-0.5 (which is the designation for the command variant of the BTR 80). Personally, I have no problem using existing models for this suggestion.

would be better to move command and control around like in RL
