Well I uninstalled the new drivers, downloaded 10.4 version, installed it and it works now.
This has helped to a lot of people, I'm sure it will work for you.

Now i found that, but why you tried so old driver, 10.4 it`s 4/28/2010 !
Why not to take something from the last months?

Gielster delete shaders cache and start vanilla BF2 and join some server to optimize your shaders again. Once done shut it down and fire up PR. That should work. Shaders are in My Documents-Battlefield 2-mods-bf-cache

Only solution for black objects is to delete shaders cache, and after that its mandatory to run VANILLA BF2 FIRST and edit your settings. Join online BF2 server after that to optimize your shaders. Once done exit and start PR as administrator ( again this is mandatory if runing it on Vista or Win7 )
If you dont do this you will have a lot of problems, including CTDs and black or missing objects.

Then I assume its a driver/graphic card/files corruption issue. Try some other drivers, redownlaod reinstall check hdd/ram for errors. Is vanilla running fine or it has same issues? What type of AV software you have maybe it picked up some of the files?
