Samsung, Intel, Crucial, ACARD are rock solid SSDs but are a bit slower. They do not use Sandforce controllers. IF you find these in the $1.10/Gb price range you are looking at a deal atm.
The sandforce contrller SSDs are faster, but riddled with problems.
IF looking at benchmarks and you play ARMA2 or ARMA2
regarding the hd6950 vs 560ti , it's best to look at real benchmarks of the actual games you plan to play. Don't depend on the synthetic benchmarks or becnhmarks for video editing processing/rendering if you never plan to do that.
I own a Vertex 3 SSD I use just for games and a few business programs, not my OS, I simply use sleep function and reset my PC maybe once a week, so boot up time isn't a problem for me.
