As for the SSD, that Samsung 830 you chose is fine.
Samsung, Intel, Crucial, ACARD are rock solid SSDs but are a bit slower. They do not use Sandforce controllers. IF you find these in the $1.10/Gb price range you are looking at a deal atm.
The sandforce contrller SSDs are faster, but riddled with problems.
IF looking at benchmarks and you play ARMA2 or ARMA2
R, the 4k random read, sustained IOPS, and peak IOPS benchmarks are important, especially if you are a pilot. ARMA2 can request over 130,000 IOPS when flying , which is ridiculous, requires RAID SSDs. Out of your (and my) price range and quite frankly it's crazy how much it costs to run a game sold for $30.
regarding the hd6950 vs 560ti , it's best to look at real benchmarks of the actual games you plan to play. Don't depend on the synthetic benchmarks or becnhmarks for video editing processing/rendering if you never plan to do that.
I own a Vertex 3 SSD I use just for games and a few business programs, not my OS, I simply use sleep function and reset my PC maybe once a week, so boot up time isn't a problem for me.
