It's a pity... I would've liked to solve this 'properly'mangeface wrote:Fixed it. I just reinstalled Windows.
Whats properly? 90% of time is either hardware problem, network related or damn windows OS...few minors, about PR and BF2...Psyrus wrote:It's a pity... I would've liked to solve this 'properly'![]()
'Properly' is identifying the root cause of the issue and either finding a solution or marking it as unresolvable. Thus, when an issue crops up in the future that exhibits similar characteristics, you don't simply have to tell someone "reinstall your OS, bro".[R-COM]MaSSive wrote:Whats properly? 90% of time is either hardware problem, network related or damn windows OS...few minors, about PR and BF2...
I never tell that to people but they realize it at some point right? I know when its time to reinstall my OS, and avrg user should feel that too.Psyrus wrote:'Properly' is identifying the root cause of the issue and either finding a solution or marking it as unresolvable. I agree. It was time to reinstall OS. I did, and it fixed the problem. Reinstalled all of my games, and all works now. I can't think of a single reasoning as to why the game started having FPS drops, but it did and now it's fine. If it happens again, I'll get more in depth as to why the game is having problems. I don't want to have to keep reinstalling Windows, as that makes me waste my activations for DCS:Blackshark (which I find absurd that you get 10 activations, then have to buy more). But if that's what I have to do, then I'll keep doing it. MaSSive, this thread can be locked now.[R-COM]MaSSive wrote:I never tell that to people but they realize it at some point right? The average user is scared beyond belief of 'wiping' their computer - I'm sure being a technical person you've helped your fair share of non-geeks. The levels of apprehension to simply having to reinstall their programs has confounded me time and time again. Anyway, you both seem happy with this result so I'll let sleeping dogs lie and I wish mangeface all the best with his new OS install and many joyful hours of gaming.[R-COM]MaSSive wrote:I never tell that to people but they realize it at some point right?
