I doubt it, just that Max9 SP2 disables aero in win7 and from your error message, looks like aero is still enabled.

Max9 SP2 might help but I doubt it will change much but needed for the dds plugins etc to work in win7.

Thanks Rhino, I'll give it a shot.

By the way, I just purchased an upgrade. Seems I am in the finantial state afterall. Should be back to it in a week or so.

Oh, by the way, I'm on WinXP if that makes a difference.

XP? Question is, 32bit or 64bit? That is all that is important. 32bit OS have difficulties addressing more than 3,3GB RAM for program usage, which CAN be a limiting factor for 3d modeling.

32bit, yeah. By next week I'll be running 6gb of ram on 64bit though. Just be patient my friends. :P

Alas, I have done more work, even though my new parts haven't arrived yet. Turns out if I turn my computer on without the internet plugged in, and then plug it in once its on, it fixes it, for at least a couple of hours.

Also, the Daihatsu Delta V22-H is the twin of your model, you can search for reference images of that vehicle too.

The Toyota Dyna BU30 was introduced in August 1977 but very few where produced until January 1978. Production stopped in August 1984.
Its twin truck is the Daihatsu Delta V22-H.

The BU30 was fitted with the Toyota B 2977cc 3.0 litre diesel engine, the same engine as used in the Toyota Landcruiser BJ40.

The B series Toyota engine:

Displacement: 2977 cc
Injection: indirect
Horsepower: 80 at 3600 rpm
Torque: 141 ft-lbs at 2200 rpm
Valves: 8 ohv
Bore: 95 mm
Stroke: 105 mm
Compression ratio: 21:1

Compression pressure:
Normal: 30.0 kg/cm2 (427 psi) or more
Minimum: 20.0 kg/cm2 (284 psi)
Difference: 2.0 kg/cm2 (28 psi) or less

This engine was built by Toyota, Daihatsu and Hino. You can identify the company that made it by the logo on the timing cover. It was first produced in 1974 and was stopped in 1984.

All Dynas from 1978-1984 have the 5 speed M50 gearbox and have a column change gear lever.

They has leaf springs all round and drum breaks. The BU30 is a long wheel base truck and has twin rear wheels. When new they where fitted with 6.50 R 16 tyres.

When fitted with a flat body the BU30 is rated at 2 tons.

The wheels need more sides. Atleast 10 each to look good ingame. Other than that it looks great.

Got my new computer running, at last...

I have a question, how does the bed mount to the chassis? This is what I've got at the moment. I can't figure out how the best way to mount it would be

The tubular steel behind the rear wheels, another tubular steel mid chassis, and another tubular steel at the front of the bed, On your model, the rear tire's rear wheel well would connect to the tubular steel that then connects to the chassis, The front of the bed where ti drops down would connect to the front tubular steel, and your yet to be modeled gas tank area would be the middle tubular steel connection to the chassis. (IMHO)


The bed/cabin/dumper/etc would bolt on to the tubular steel.

You could drop the bed and leave wheel well cut outs,

or add some blocks between your current chassis and bed, not sure how leaving a visible gap between the chassis and the bed will affect the FPS and hit box regarding gameplay issues.

There were over a dozen variants, just pick one and make it work.

Haven't worked on it in a long time. I underestimated my capabilities. I will gladly send the model to someone more capable, however.
