@[R-COM]MaSSive: tried your new path change, same error.
So you are saying there is something wrong with the patching? I had problems with the patching, sorry for not mentioning this earlier.

I started to patch from 1.0 to 1.5 with full patch but gave me a "fail to patch window" that told me I already have a newer version then the 1.5 one :S. I googled the problem where people told me to install in this order: 1.0->1.41->1.5.

I got the patch installed but as you may see, has not solved any problems anyway.

you are suppose to do that since the profiles folder gets deleted

I dont know what version of BF2 you have ( without patches ), but it should work this way as explained in the guide. Only thing you need is patch 1.41 and after that 1.5. If you used official download links in tutorial there shouldn't be any mistake.

Try to reapply 1.41 and then try 1.5. If it wont work we will have to mess with the registry, or you will have to reinstall it completely from scratch.
