The advantage of jungle terrain is that it affords you more opportunity to remain concealed and as such you can take those extra few seconds to make sure. If you're walking on top of somebody and you don't even have time to make that friend/foe decision then you're already making basic mistakes.

That goes for both sides.PFunk wrote:The advantage of jungle terrain is that it affords you more opportunity to remain concealed and as such you can take those extra few seconds to make sure. Both stay concealed until they craw within 1m from eachother and stare eachother in the face.
In which case there is actually not a problem with identification.

one of the things I love about PR is the lack of minimap as INF. It's nice to have it when in vehicles, but sometimes I wish it was only for armour, and light transports lacked it as well.SmoothIsFast6 wrote:yeah playing smart you shouldn't have a problem
anyways, has DEVS ever thought about a little map thing with dots?(always on screen but really small) like ARMA2 mods have
would be great for squad tactical movement

I agree, the minimap removal is one of the more important changes PR made to bf2. If you can't spot the difference between friend and foe you should get some visual ques that work for you, some say NVA have sandals while others look for short sleeves. If you Tk a lot you are probably not using your map enough, it should be checked constantly to assess the battlefield not only for friendly positions but probable/possible enemy advances or strong holds.
