There's no reason to stop development after 1.0 but I'm confident we won't see any factions for a long time. There seems to have been an inactive-developer purge as tons of devs are now retired. No ADF anymore if Tonnie isn't around :(

Loads of people were inactive anyway and everybody is free to jump back into development bandwagon if they are able to contribute again ;-)

In all seriousness though because I remember when I was a helpless forum member and so folks don't get discouraged, work is starting to pick up once more as we gear up for 1.0.

I'm not going to spoil any surprises but I will say we have some really cool and huge features / additions in the works that people have yet to hear anything about. I'm sure you'll hear more as time goes on.

Devs are gonna be angry about this one...

All planes are being scrapped and the A-10 is to replace as an all-around fighter/bomber/attack role aircraft. But you didn't hear it from me.

It can NOT work, as you see in the video the shadow from the objects is still there. Because BF2 engine useS LIGHTMAPS technology wich has problem with destruction. Also the more destroyable objects the more lag comes with it.
