Damn, thats a shame D:
Well, since it feel the tale has to be told (And I don't feel like typing up a homework response on blackboard atm and I want to stall), let me tell you all the story, hehe
After the AAV video Jafar has posted, we played on Marlin as the Canadians. Our squad was a 6 man recon squad, working behind the enemy's backside to identify possible strongpoints the enemy may have. We had basically a normal squad, with myself as a sniper and Tanner as my spotter (we work really damn well together! haha).
We took position on the southern hill to overlook the southern city cap. We didn't run into too much action, minus a few stray MEC soldiers charging rambo style up the hill, only to be met with sniper fire and burst from our AR. After our team capped and moved to assault district hill, our squad moved to the east across the river and into the wood south of the construction area, which our commander (forgot who it was) wanted us to scout out.
Along the way half of us pissed ourselves when we came across an abandoned 50 call MTLB, just thought that was something funny to mention! We left it to not give our position away.
As we entered the woods and moved to the north edge, someone spotted an enemy sniper in the window in one of the 2 story buildings with a spotter, looking away from us across the river to the west. We went prone, I got into a good position to hit him, and took the shot and killed him.
Everyone minus myself and Tanner moved in on the position. There were some enemy crates, but I don't think they had an FOB set up at the time, at least not right there. Over the next 5 or 10 minutes, we fought to take the buildings, Tanner and I in the background in the woods giving away enemy positions and taking shots when possible.
When the enemy had finally stopped trying to assault us (it was only around 3 or 4 people, but they were persistent), we started to get comfy. Tanner and I were still in the same position, and our squad was occupying the building in which the sniper had been killed. As Tanner and I began to move to the squad for ammo as ordered by Jafar, a shot rang out and one of our squad mates was hit by a marksman.
Everyone took cover, and someone spotted the marksman on the crane just to my west. Tanner and I took cover quick, but he didn't see me. The marksman took another shot or two, missing, and then I came around the corner and shot him in the head. This really reminded me of Band of Brothers, right after the town of Foy was taken and a sniper was firing onto the airborne troops, before Shifty shot him. Played out exactly like that, was epic!!
After this, we gathered, fought off a couple more small assaults, one of which included a clown car, and began moving to the resort, as our team had captured District hill. Sadly, the round ended around this time, which was a pitty because it had been one of the most memorable round of PR I have played.
So, anyways, thank you Jafar for the epic squad! Won't be something I forget anytime soon
