I think the 1:3 ratio could find balance this way. I rarely see the AAVP going into battle mostly because the movement is so delayed. Where as the 1 LAV could help to protect the AAVP's and still offer transport.

I would love to see some lav action, but only because I'd love to see some force recon action with heavy asymmetrical balance pitting a LAV TP against something heavy in the old counterattack game mode. LAVs do a screen, then a delay, then the armoured MEU arrives and the catk begins.

The aav is fine for muttrah. What's not fine is how quickly the 40mm overheats. It's very difficult to use for area suppression because of this. Support of infantry attacks by heavy area suppression is the only thing the aav is better at than most apcs, but its mostly on paper because of the rapid overheat. Idk.
