lol sorry, turns out (at least according to google) Pantera is both Spanish and Portuguese for Panther, but fixed it to be Portuguese now

not sure if i can understand the reason behind the landing gear lights if they werent going to make it so that you control the gear.. Anyone else agree? or is the long wait for 1.0 starting to mess with my head?

Well, it's just for you to know if the gear is down or not before crashing to the ground at high speed.

i can already smell 1.0

Exactly. This mainly helps when trying either to land on a tall building, or do a rolling landing since the LG code might not realize your actually trying to do a landing at these points and not put its gear out which can leave you damaging your chopper quite a bit, especially bad for the French Panther which doesn't have a flat bottom due to its FLIR camera sticking out from under it




(rolling landing at speed, can see the engine is smoking from doing this )

I have changed the LG code quite a lot since those two pics above so that should be quite a rear occurrence ingame now but its still a good idea for the pilot to ensure his gear is out before landing

So Hellfires and the likes will have less splash now?

And those choppers.... Ermahgerd!
