Well, I am going to change my mobo , processor and Ram , I have 28/30 fps on some urban maps. :(
I am angry :-D

My old P5kse has Pcie x1 and GTX285 work on x2 ...
Do u think a new mobo can increase my framerate with this same Gc ?

Intel Core i5 3570k @ 3.40Ghz - Z77A-G41 Chipset Intel Z77 MSI - 4Go DDR3 1333 maybe increase my fps ?

Old Config : P5KSE / E8400 @3.6ghz / 4Go Ddr2 Pc8500 / ASUS GTX285

Merci Merci !

I'm not expert but I would be very surprised if it didn't.

I read your post with interest as I'm just getting a E8500 to replace my wifes E2180 in her desktop because it's so cheap.

Did you have to flash BIOS when you changed the processor?

Bon chance

sorry for the delay Plodd , yes my bios was already flashed . You are going increased performances but perhaps not enough with this procc .

I run finally on i7 920 / GA-P55A-UD4 / GTX 285 / 6 go ddr3 and my framerate don't drop under 50/60 on Falludj full serv ( all high / x8 ) .

The GTX460 card i tried gives the same result as GTX285 for me .

I'm really happy with this 260 $ kit ^^

i7 920 @ 2.66 ghz gave me +20 fps in all situations compared to e8400 @ 3.6ghz . So i am often a 100 fps and never under 50 .
