Well, I am going to change my mobo , processor and Ram , I have 28/30 fps on some urban maps. :(
I am angry :-D

My old P5kse has Pcie x1 and GTX285 work on x2 ...
Do u think a new mobo can increase my framerate with this same Gc ?


Intel Core i5 3570k @ 3.40Ghz - Z77A-G41 Chipset Intel Z77 MSI - 4Go DDR3 1333 maybe increase my fps ?


Old Config : P5KSE / E8400 @3.6ghz / 4Go Ddr2 Pc8500 / ASUS GTX285

I'm not expert but I would be very surprised if it didn't.

I read your post with interest as I'm just getting a E8500 to replace my wifes E2180 in her desktop because it's so cheap.

Did you have to flash BIOS when you changed the processor?

sorry for the delay Plodd , yes my bios was already flashed . You are going increased performances but perhaps not enough with this procc .

I run finally on i7 920 / GA-P55A-UD4 / GTX 285 / 6 go ddr3 and my framerate don't drop under 50/60 on Falludj full serv ( all high / x8 ) .

The GTX460 card i tried gives the same result as GTX285 for me .

I'm really happy with this 260 $ kit ^^

i7 920 @ 2.66 ghz gave me +20 fps in all situations compared to e8400 @ 3.6ghz . So i am often a 100 fps and never under 50 .
