Completely my point.
The acceleration needs to be changed and some of the speeds need to be tweaked and what you mentioned was another important gameplay changer (with ref to maps with air transport).

Enabling the first and increasing the second, could work in this favour.
So it's possible and apparently rather easy to do and is a gameplay changer.
Seems like a simple and effective task if any DEV would comment on it.

I would still make the changes so max speed is attained by just pressing forward, where as Shift would have slower speed, but higher torque allowing to climb. Military vehicles can climb almost straight wall.
