Both 1942 and Vietnam have active communities, it goes to show how great these games actually stand up. It was a great idea for EA to release 1942 for free after so many years, it's been great to be on lan just replaying with friends. But this thread is about BF2 and it's birthday, maybe DICE will do something special today, or maybe the PR Devs...StandardSmurf wrote:It's so crazy that after eight years, this game is still being played. There was a mod for BF 1942 called Desert Combat which was really fun ... nothing compared to PR, but was still fun. Anyways I'm very happy to see that my favorite game is still around after all this time.
