"+1 to removing all tags", "these bug annoying as hell@!&#*" but how to identify who is who? I can't remember all voices of teammates, can't to understand fast who is speaking exactly now. I don't want to ask "What's your name, my blue-friend?" every time then *** happening with me and need make desicion and manage firefight. You want to remove bugged thing but dont tell how to fill formed void.

ArmA solving this problems showing nick of friendly player then you looking at him. It's a good way, if in PR will same method of identification will be good. If problem will be solved will be vegy good too. But please, don't remove nick's w/o alternative way how to identificate nicks of friendlies.

I just hope the community shows respect to newbies.

Have you considered how it would actually play out? Instead of just saying remove it. How do you find your squadmates your squadleader besides yelling over mumble every time. Or anyone. Besides it simulates facial recognition. Its just a gameplay element that is needed for smooth gameplay.

What would be nice would be to transfer the enemy's nametags to your team, so at least everyone on your team would have nametags.

Completely agree, at least nametags for your squadmembers are important for the teamplay.

But if they completely removed name tags they should also disable picking kits from enemies..
(Which I think they should do even without name tag removal)

Are you guys insane? If they removed all name tags then it would be a teamkill fest.

Why dont they remove the name tags but keep them for Squad leaders and commander so there is a vague idea about your teams locations.

Its not that easy guys. They are doing the best they can with the limitations of the BF2 engine.

Cant you just remove the enemies name tags COMPLETELY so you have 64 IDs for your own team?

I don't think it works like that. The way the enemy name tags don't show up is with a parameter. I think its just set to a long time. Not showname tags [0/1]
