For those with Windows 8 , 8.1 preview, or 2012:

It is possible that you downloaded and installed NET Framework 4.5.1 Preview
As of now, the PRBEta is incompatible with this update.
The .net Framework 4.51 Preview Version got installed automatically with the installation of "Wargame: Airland Battle" and several other new games,

You will need to install NET Framework 4.5 from the link below:
Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 from Official Microsoft Download Center

I'm not sure if you need to uninstall 4.5.1 Preview before installing 4.5
I do not think that is necessary, but we'll need someone to test this.

P.S. Blame Microsoft for breaking Net framework in place upgrade-ability.

Check to see if you have .net Framework 4.51 Preview Version installed.

I just found out about this problem and am not sure how to both fix PRBeta and not break your other new games that use .net Framework 4.51 Preview Version.

idk if the update did it or the NET but it sorta works i just can't get pass the the black screen of the intro...

I am from Microsoft .NET Framework team. We are unable to reproduce with issue with .NET Framework 4.5.1 or Windows 8.1 installed on the machine.

You can validate it by uninstalling .NET 4.5.1 preview and re-installing .NET 4.5 on the machine.

Varun, you do not have access to the PR beta 1.X mod to attempt to recreate atm.

We'll get the .NET guys in the mod Dev team to contact you if needed going forward.

Could you try installing .NET 4.5.1 Preview on the machine to see if issue reproduces? Download .NET Framework 4.5.1 Preview - Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Server 2012 from Official Microsoft Download Center

Also uninstall .NET 4.5.1 preview (and install .NET 4.5 RTM) to validate whether issue reproduces with .NET 4.5 RTM itself.
