Whoever made those visual effects (I suspect it was that Bruno fellow) you did a great job, dude. You made them look better than in some of the newest games. DEVs must be lucky to have you on team
Brunitogg was interested to help me with effects, so then he finally joined the team. Found him on youtube. Thats were our journey started. Hes a really funny guy with great eyes for art.
We are in this 2 man squad for visual effects and were still fixing and improving things for 1.0 and will be after the final release.
The PR project for the bf2 engine is very limited to work with due to memory and overall performance. We have had countess hours trying to make things realistic as possible with what weve got. We had to reduce the resolution of the effects textures we had from the beginning for an example.
We could make effects look ten times better than most of todays games, but since PR is such a big project wth many things that uses textures etc, we had to make the best of what we were allowed to work with. Still I think it looks much better than vanilla effecs.
The sound team is only me though. But its ok since I have control over everything I make. It has been a long ad nice trip and rght now I only want to play with you guys.
Thx for every kind words. Very happy that you enjoy this guys.

The new sounds. I have never heard such perfected sounds in a video game.
The new animations, ragdolls, weapons, vehicles, the effects are fucking awesome too!

Still very much dying to use the HIND. black_gold aas alt is rarely played. =/ Last time it was, mods switched it for some reason to another map.
Is something on the alt layer bugged?

Well let's see...
-the new sounds
-prone animations
-most/all textures (particularly player models and vehicles) are looking better (at least to me)
-fully automated mumble (even if it still needs some tweaking)
-adjustable sights on AT weapons
It's all great. But the one thing that I really really want to try out in the final release are the back-up sights on the MEC's G3 rifles.

As a grunt I love it too! It's so funny when people fall from it after you shot them!
What else I love in 1.0? The list is too long.

Visual effects better than in vanilla? They are better than BF3 effects, and everyone already agreed on that. I couldn't really understand how you managed to create that grenade and RPG one, because I had many bad moments with BF2 Editor. The way it looks in Editor has nothing to do with the way it looks in game. Of course, engine in game also limits amount of things that will appear on the screen. I figured that out once I saw my flares on 1.0 beta. I am really dissapointed because they looked awesome on my server and in editor.
Know you guys 'r gonna make it perfect. Maybe some time I join the team, I have some experience with sounds as well. I would really like to improve sounds for 1.0. You made them great, but they just miss that kick a bit
You can tell that professionals worked on sounds for games such as BF3. They know exactly which sounds to highlight and which ones not. For example, I'm kinda sad when I see that footsteps can be louder than gunfire in PR. I see that improved when I heard that awesome APC gun sound 500 meters away in beta
Good luck on developing 1.0!

The random mouse sensitivity that makes the BETA unplayable.

Besides my bitching about the RP system and the lack of being able to see very far, there are quite a number of things I really enjoy:
1.) The sound and music creates a top notch atmosphere. Especially the latter deserves an extra praise given how much work has been put into something that you'll hear rarely when comparing to how long a round lasts.
2.) The new launcher apparently got rid of Steam messing around when I start the game, so ty for that.
3.) Integrated mumble and how people show up when talking(with different colours depending who is talking even!). Really makes it simple to determine who was speaking.
4.) Backup Sights. Some people don't get a whole lot out of this feature, but really, just having the option makes you feel like actually handling something physical.
5.) Deviation. So far the amount of WHY DIDN'T I HIT THAT GUY AFTER STANDING STILL FOR SO LONG have decreased severely.
6.) Accessing alternate weapons for the 7 main kits from the spawn menu.

So let me get this straight: rallypoints in 1.0 will not disappear by themself?

All things i like were mentioned. I wanted to add that flying jet with new sounds effects is soooo awesome.
But there are some things i don't like too:
1) US soldiers voices are just terrible. It would be much better if you get back to previous ones
2) like someone said - when ak meets m4 in close combat m4 has no chance... I hope you will add full automatic fire to m4
3) in my point of view sniper should have a rope too, usually it is hard to find someone that will follow you, get you on every roof and basiclly do nothing else.
4) if teams will be like 8 people, heli trans like bh or huey should be able to take them all, not half.
I am not sure if it is not temporary but my fps are low as sh** not able to fight inside cities or woods.
Anyway boys, good job with 1.0

A few more things that I now love about PR
-New BMP looks, sounds, and feels amazing.
-New Tunguska makes me jizz when I look at it, stairway leading into the gunners seat on Black Gold is also an awesome little detail (Those are always the best.)
-Transport capable CAS helicopters....Nothing more needs to be said.
-The Minigun and 50 cal on the CAS Huey are simply insane and a lot of fun to fire.
