Congrats to all those who got their copies. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive at the EBGames up the street. Might have to call them to see what's up.

I'm still working on all my hac-- I mean, I've got to use my processing resources for some very important tasks before I can get BF2 going properly.

im going down to EB tomarrow or the day after to grab my copy and headset, then going to see Land of the Dead which ive been waiting years for. So this weekend will be one of the most exciting weekends as far as gaming and stuff goes for me.

This summer will consist of BF2(well PR i should say  ), working, with friends and gf, and of course the beach! nad making music with a band.

as for that land of the dead thing... it looks just like dawn of the dead, hopefully it will be better than that for your sake, i wont be seeing it either way.

Dawn of the Dead was a remake of one of the movies that Land of the Dead is a follow-up to. They pretty much ran the old movie through a 28 Days Later filter. You kids are so uncultured. :P

well, im a zombie fanatic, i love zombie movies. i LOVE romero, he's a genies. yes the recent dawn of the dead was a remake, but i think as long as you dont compare it to the original its pretty good. the original has a MUCH better story and moves along better i think. Also it had some awsome special effects as far as zombies go. Although as far as special effects and zombies go day of the dead is still my favorite.

land of the dead HAS to be good, romero has been waiting a long time to get the funding for this movie.

and one more thing for anybody who loves the Dead series, well 2 more things, first off i read that Land of the dead is NOT the last movie, its merely another chapter, but that could just be romero speaking figuritvly. and second on thursday night on IFC (independent film channel) they are having the original B&W night of hte living dead, the original dawn of the dead, Dead Alive (not romero, but still classic zombie movie), and Dream of hte Dead, a behind the scenes look at Land of the Dead.

oh well, i'm sure being married has advantages as well. at least you have loads of time to think of good suggestions for this mod. i mean look at brokenarrow. he couldn't find these forums so while he was looking for the right url he thought of so many suggestions his post count showed 21 posts/day.

I have it pre-ordered at Best Buy, 2 blocks away from my office... they open at 10am and supposedly it will be on the shelf when the doors open.

Yesterday at 4:30 my boss called a meeting for today at 10am...

So - is it confirmed that the mod tools are on the installation disc? Have the been made available online (I've yet to surf any other BF2 forums this morning.) I haven't seen anything on this yet... I hope to find out firsthand soon with my own copy, hopefully before I get an answer here... but I'm jonesin' to see how they work!!!

Meeting ended, went to BestBuy, not in stock yet... went to EB, got the first copy removed from the box, shipment had just come in and wasn't even unpacked yet! Went to BB & got my damn $10 back - still have the free headset! :D

No sign of mod tools on the DVD. No sign of a download either. :x

I concur, I first wanted someone else to state that information, so that is makes the devs more secretive 8)   :D

I seem to have the problem now that everyone and their brother's, cousine's, roomate's, dog's, sister's, mother in law, has the game that I can't get on any of the ranked servers!
