Nothing wrong with that. You only have two ears; a single speaker for each is ample to reproduce sound from any direction.
I noticed this problem during the beta. It seemed like audio from people who were too close lost its directionality. Maybe there's a Mumble setting that can be adjusted...

This was adjusted for release and it's different than the open beta. Should be better now.

It's definitely better in the release compared to the beta. Thanks.

Still not as good as the old one
It is really being a pain in the *** to be a medic now, can not we just adjust it by ourselves at the options?

I think it should be a little more directional its too confusing at times.

I WANT LOCAL CHAT SO YOU CAN TALK TO ENEMIES...
That is fun ****.... being dead silent when u know enemies in floor above you then just scream...
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRR RRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Then enemies start playing music and stuff!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I can remember old days...that would be nice, without tags and mumble so you can hear enemies...that would be nice.

This new integrated mumble is a useless feature, and it's buggy as hell. I don't even count how many times I read in the chat "My mumble won't work".
I run my PR as admin and my mumble as admin. And still, it often doesn't work. Happened just right now to me, and yesterday as well.
The old mumble was so much better, there was no problem at all, and it was not a very big deal to start it apart unless you have down syndrom. It's just a fancy but unnecessary feature.

i don't think that the integration was a bad move at all. it definitely has a few bugs to be worked out though. a few of us last night had it crash every few games. at one point, i lost it entirely and it failed to restart for some reason. restarting the game was the surefire fix, but i'm always wondering if i'm still transmitting, and the first thing you hear in game is "is my mumble working?" it's cool to have everyone on the same page by default and it's going to be great once it's running a little more smoothly.

Great news!
As said a little bit more directional focus would really ease the local communication confusion. Thanks.

Awesome news!
If you could make it exactly like it was, should be good enough. But, yeah, feel free to make it even beter.

If you could make it so it actually works, it'd be pretty damn great as well.
The old one was perfect, I don't get the point of making this useless implemented mumble. Better have something less simple which works than something else fancier and simpler but which doesn't. It's not like running PR mumble before starting 0.98 was very hard, a down syndrom kid can do it. Because I am really annoyed by it, half the time it won't work even though I run everything properly as administrator, and I know I'm by far not the only one having trouble with it.
Yes sorry I know I am pretty mad, because I'm not playing PR to restart my game every fucking round.

Check your attitude.
Everyone that works on this mod is a volunteer, so show some respect for the work that people have done in their free time.

He's right though, external mumble worked better IMO. Lots of bugs and issues with new integrated mumble.

This. No disrespect to the DEV's but don't fix it if it ain't broke. And if you improve it at least make sure it works.

I say it's not that bad overall. It's bad in a direct comparision to the old one. But hey: It's integrated. So calm your breastfat and let the devs fix all the issues.
And some smileys:

Say what, sir? I thought the enemy could hear you by default?

I wish when you type, the 'H' Local key doesn't cause your mic to transmit because it's annoying hearing the mic 1 sec having sound on and off, and seeing the blinker flash on player.
It would be also nice if there's the feature of hearing everyone on the team by pressing a key (A mumble feature that can be customed)
And finally, just like ARMA 2 ACRE, I want those sounds as an option inside a custom folder in Mumble so it's exactly like I was in the military. So when I press 0, it's like I am pressing the radio button. Unfortuantly, you can't just rip it from the download folder since the sound is in a dll. And I searched everywhere for the army sound, but no bingo.

Arab, why don't you just bind your local key to something else? Personally both my mumble communication keys are on my mouse, and it's much handier ; ALT is good as well, easy to reach.
