tested it and it works.
i think normal bullets and tracers behave identical with this, so you can have gravity, wind, friction etc.

This would really revolutionise combat at more than 400m imo, and would definitely help differentiate our medium machine guns from our LMGs

tested a bit and the bullets all go 1500m/s (even when set to 2000 in .tweak file). I guess its max speed for projectiles and the reason why this fix works

there is bullet drop for snipers?
havent noticed that. even when I have sniper on black gold and fire from hilltop fortress I hit when I am aiming on them.

So this can only work if all bulets have velocity of 1500? Can you try to make it work for all velocity of bullets?

i couldnt find a way. To fix tracers the initial velocity of both normal bullets and tracers has to be greater than 1500 so the engine cuts them short. Once the bullets are in the air however you can do what you want, but i didnt find a way to reduce the speed by a flat value.
But i dont really think this would make much of a difference anyway. Current bullets fly at ~1000m/s so its only 50% more and it will only be noticeable on longs ranges, where you now have bullet drop to make hitting harder.

Maybe you could use rather big drag so that when bullets reach viewdistance, they will travel at their realistic speed at that distance IRL. Still you will have shorter travel times, but yeah, compared to getting ballistics im all for it personally.

it would be nice with weapon sway but then it should be zero sway when laying down and you get some after each shot that will last a few seconds.
