The only snipers that i know that 1 shot kill are the Russian/ Chinese one and the Brit one.
The SVD-98 is 7.62x54 which does 80
The C14 and L115 are .338, which should do 100 damage
I will say that limbs have higher damage multipliers than the torso due to body armour, if youre using a 7.62 rifle, aim there. It's simply a fact that the best plates, of which infantry do wear, can stop 7.62 rounds from penetrating.
Unarmoured characters, insurgetns and pilots will always die to a sniper rifle in one hit.

Eh, as nifty as the EBR is, I don't see why they didn't just throw the Army the M110 for their PR marksman rifle.
Damage for any marksman rifle using a 7.62 round is good where it is, two shots drops the enemy.

Because the M110 is not issued to regular US Army rifle squads and the M14 EBR-RI is.

It, would be cool if the U.S. Army Sniper kit got it though. Silencer and all.
USMC has started to use it for DMs in certain units, but not line infantry; otherwise, it's just a tool in the box for Scout-Snipers.
Would like to see it as ALT primary weapon for both US faction sniper kits along with the XM2010 and M40A5 for Army and USMC, respectively; suppressors and all. Likewise with the suppressors on the L115A3 and SSW variant of the L129A1 for UK. But then I'd have to read the sobbing about faction bias on the forums even though they're mostly cosmetic in game.

Indeed, xm2010 is much more fitting for the army. Our snipers carried those and .50s, but never really used the latter because they are meh.

The XM2010 is defiantly cool, and very modular, but I would rather have an M40A-5 with a silencer if I had the option, personally.
Considering XM2010 is army, and M40 is marine, you could.

The M110 would be the uber rifle, people would hate it for sure. But that is why the U.S. forces like it.
M110 would be farthest from the "uber rifle" the only thing it beat either the m40 or xm2010 at is rate of fire. XM2010 would be the uber rifle.

Far from it, highly accurate (1,200m, suppressed targets at almost 2 km), modal design (easy to take apart, quick attach/detach sniper, light), high powered(300 win mag). Its everything.

It was a
nightmare several versions ago when an M95 was available as part of an easter egg kit, but naturally, it became a de facto game objective.
Never. Fucking. Again. You'll have to settle for the .300 Win and .338 Lapua Magnum rifles.

What needs to happen is middle chest shots should be killers, Shooters on here will tell you any tactical class will teach you to shoot an eight inch circle on the targets chest, this should be automatic "kills" for a faction not using armor or being hit by a 7.62 NATO round. Snipers are taught to aim for the chest , not the head. 556 rounds should take 3-5 rounds to the torso to be effective.

All caliber IRL talk aside, who wants the battlefield to be full of 1-shot kill rifles?
People don't attack enough already even though getting a hit isn't horrible if you have a medic near.
Guess what happens when they make every 7.62 rifle kill with one shot? No one attacks. Ever.
You can see this in insurgency, BLUFOR is the attacking force, but uses their scopes for camping instead of attacking the caches fiercely. Why? They don't like dying. Or even the chance of it.
Sure it'd be fun to have 1 shot kill 7.62 rifles but god damn, I'd rather pump the enemy full of lead vBF2 style than be shot dead every time I move out of cover.
