My Fatalit1es broke, my cheap Steelseries broke and now I'm on a Siberia.

First the headphones, then the mic on the Steelseries.

Now, I take very good care of my hardware, so if the Siberia manages to break too, I'm just gonna invest in a studio mic and place it next to my mouth. That SHOULD do it, heh.

EDIT: And yes, I know that "gaming companies" are overpriced. My next headphones will most likely be either some more quality stuff like Koss or Sennheiser with a mic on it, or just some cheap Microsoft stuff. Someone even suggested a Microsoft mic I believe.

I have a old fucked up speedlink medusa being hold in place by duckttape.
The mic was the first thing to break so i got a 2 euro clip on one and taped it to
the headset chord and up to the old mic which i ripped off.
Looks ghetto as fuck but i still have my surround sound and no need to buy one again ^^
Pr without surround is awefull.

All headsets break after the same time. Does not matter how much they cost, they are all cheap **** that break very fast. Thats why I always buy Creative HS-450. It costs nothing and the sound is epic. And if it breaks? Screw it, just gonna buy a new one. And it won't even break that fast, it is very robust Its light and has a very good soundquality. It is probably the best low-price headset out there. Nothing beats it quality-wise.

Most gaming headsets are pretty much made to break after a certain time. I use a pair of Sennheiser hd 280 pro which I don't see breaking in many years to come... and the built-in mic of my PC. Works fine.

Just buy a pair of Beyerdynamics headphones.
They offer great build quality made in Germany and guarantee the availability of spare parts for 20 (!) years.
And you can swap out every screw on these things.
Everything that contains "Gaming/Elite/Sniper/whatever" keywords is usually over prized.
