What would waiting achieve? looks like there are a few 770s with 4GBs of RAM?[R-COM]LITOralis.nMd wrote:Edit 2: If you can wait, get a 4GB GPU, Roberts has mentioned that VRAM will be an issue .
If I may ask, what's your budget now Rhino?[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:Cheers, is it worth considering a 780 at all? Looks like the top 780s have only a max of 3gbs?
Money isn't a problem just I want to get the best value for money and something that's going to last a few years so if the 780 is worth it over the 770 I may consider it, but ye, is the 3gb an issue on a 780?
No budget per se, as per the OP really want the cheapest card that's going to deliver me the best value for money in the short and long term.DesmoLocke wrote:If I may ask, what's your budget now Rhino?
If that's the case, you would see a nice performance improvement for if you look at the GTX 780 on eBuyer.[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:No budget per se, as per the OP really want the cheapest card that's going to deliver me the best value for money in the short and long term.

I've found that if you get a pretty bog standard mobo, not only dose it in some cases hold back many of the compoents plugged into it, but you will find yourself needing to upgrade it in next to no time so w/e I get a new mobo and CPU, I get the best available and find that not only dose it pay off in the long run without needing to upgrade, but also the performance increase a good mobo can bring alone is worth it.Daniel wrote:- LOL @ Rhino's mobo, it is even Quad-GPU SLI compatible, omfg...NICE!!
My main concern is getting a DirectX 11 GFX Card since MY DX9/10 doesn't run the latest games, even thou I have no fps issues with any of the games I playDaniel wrote:- Ever thought of going DUAL SLI ?? Might be BEST bang for the buck solution for you right now!!!![]()
My CPU is semi-water cooled but I'm not going to go all in with water cooling, especially since my PSU fan is hardly ever on either. At the end of the day you still have fans with water cooling, just less of themDaniel wrote:- AND Rhino, how much is noise an issue, when playing PR or any "stealth"-game, you don't want to hear your GPU(s), right? Ever thought about water-cooling? (Might be a very good solution for you if money not issue atm. and long-term cooling, you know? Tell me, what do you think about it?)
