Make sure you have the latest Quicktime plugin.
It's the best format around.

Which song is that by Saosin? I'm checking them out now. Not so much into emo. I pretty much stopped listening to that four or five years ago. But that song sounded much more like stoner rock. Reminds me of the stuff my Aussie buddies used to listen to. Maybe it's just that one clip, but still... I'd like to check it out.

some hard dance trance from http://di.fm should get it exciting, trust me i bounce listening to these music
an example of it being used on a PRM video, which made it a lot exciting, is the following:

hey but that's kinda personal

Don't put any pop/rock/dance/whatever music in. That'd be fail. Keep it instrumental (like you said, BHD music) and it'll sound amazing. I've got a bunch of tracks screaming to be used if you want them ;)

EDIT: Just watched the teaser.

I came.

The song in the video is 'Bury Your Head'. To be honest (I've listened to the whole CD and enjoy it a lot) it isn't so much emo or death metal (not really death metal at all). They are a real good band.

Maistros wrote:The final music will be much more like a movie soundtrack. I might have a friend of mine put something new together or I may hunt down actual soundtrack compositions to use.

Might mix a little bit of SplinterCell music with Black Hawk Down music or something. Could be interesting.

Any suggestions people?

Mebe some of that but that kinda music is a bit overdone in bf2 movies.

I like how you timed the visuals with the events (ie the explosions is at the creshendo annnd I liked that music so I would mix some of that sort of thing in good for action parts)
7u should check out the song everything you want by vertical horizon (i dont like the song but the intro is really sweet and I've been dieing to try it out in a movie)

A song for a teaser is good to get ppl pumped up for the real thing. I think adding music into the real one would make it like Mission Impossible 3 like movie but so far its looking dead awesome. Put the teaser on YouTube and post it as BF2 PRMM MOD. It will get a lot of attention for the upcoming real thing.

So what kind of filter was that? Just upped the contrast? What editing software are you using? I used to use Final Cut Pro a lot, and always thought about doing a gameplay movie ever since that Halo movie came out a couple years before the original release. It's great that you're doing this. Definately has the potential to help get more PRMM players.

Does anybody know if there are utilities you can use to achieve that sort of effect in your games? I suppose there's always your color and monitor controls, but anything beyond that?

Also, does anybody know if the intro movie of the VIP extraction for PRMM is available online anywhere?

It's not a prefabricated filter. I do all the coloring by hand, by adjusting the color curves and individual channel curves, saturation/lightness channels, levels, and color balances, as well as a few multi/layered blending modes.

I edit with FCP and do effects/coloring with After Effects.

The way my movie looks is very close to what my screen looks like when I play because my ATI Catalyst Controler allows me to edit the individual color curves for "Full Screen 3d" color.

Well then damn you're a lucky *******. You've been playing a BHDified version of PR while I just have what can only be described as a..... *shudder* vanilla setup.

I'd love to see what that looks like in game. Would you mind sharing the settings for Catalyst Control Center?! Is that possible?

A vote for a video to have "Muse - Knights of Cydonia" as the background music would be sweet. A Quality 6 minutes of rock!

And the fact that it keeps everything British is a plus also :-D

Edit: I don't think its too dark. I'd love to have those filters applied when playing battlefield. Makes everything feel more significant.
