i like the IED model made with the tubes and the Mobile Phone (You americans call that Celluer Phone or Cell)

Maybe it can be shaped like a bottle ? a friend of mine that has been to iraq told me that on one occasion they found a IED inside a coke bottle

i dunno what the hell you guys are smoking, but the last time i checked, rocks dont explode. unless you put the IED under the rock.

from my experience, (almost being killed by one) sometimes they have them in dead animals, a plastic bag on the street, garbage can, or just a regular air to surface bomb.

Well IED's being invisible or a mortar round is all fine. But we still have Mines (anti-vehicle only) still sitting on the surface of the road. Rather difficult to make them go into the ground.

IED's are hard to see, especialy the more modern ones. They've taken to hiding them in potholes, digging then covering a hole in dirt, placing them in old IED holes, etc. Having one that resembles a rock or bush is completely realistic, as that's exactly what they are starting to do (cover the IED in styrafom packing, spray painting it light brown, sticking bushes and shit to it) and they are getting harder and harder to detect.

Given the fact that we can't dig a hole in this game, it is resonable to model the IED after something slightly less noticeable than a large, black block of C4.

Yea I know it's wiki. Either way the IED's for the insurgents need to somewhat blend in with the surroundings to make the insurgent a more "sought" after team, I don't think a big block of C4 does an IED any justice I'm thinking a mortar round or even timed explosion with somesort of device (walkman, VCR, cell phone, or even a wall clock). Point is the IED's need to be more concealed not necassarily invisible, and yes I'm bumping this because I really would like to see something along these lines implemented in Project Reality if it could be.

What would be really neat is if there were small IEDs (Like the ones now) and then a Large IED that is invisible and makes the explosion of the jihad truck. But it's a pickup kit and you gota find a location, and it takes like 30sec to 1 min to place the IED.

i think they sould be able to be defused as well or the combat engineers could have a think in there kit that does a controlled explosion but for now i just use the white distroyed pick up in the middle of that long road leading to the Air Base i just put the c4 in the back
