People will tell you that all TKing is wrong, no matter what the circumstances. But in my opinion, if somebody's being such a total **** that you feel they need killing (and you're a mature, rational person capable of such a distinction), whether it be by purposeful TKing, racist text flaming, Al Basrah base raping, or something else I haven't thought of, I say waste the fuckers. Of course you have to be willing to face the occasional auto-kick, and if I were you I'd back up your info with a screen shot in case you get banned for it.
Like I said, some people will tell you TKs are never acceptable. But in my opinion, we have friendly fire turned on, so if people want to exploit our maturity, they can feel it's wraith. Fuck 'em.
It is uncool to be on the recieving end though. One time I was playing Mutrah (is Mutrah the one with the docks and park, etc. or the one with the mosque, power station, hotel, etc.? I mean the one with the docks and park), and I needed ammo. JohnnyPissoff was rifleman, and I kept going up to him and requesting ammo. Maybe he had sound or "all radio comms = english" turned off, or he didn't have any ammo bags left or something. But at the time I'd never seen him before, and wasn't a member of the forums. So I figured he was just a dumbass vanilla noob. So I kept following him around asking for ammo. Eventually he just got pissed off and knifed me.
With my present knowledge of his character, I'd say it was understandable, while still not in my "justifiable" category. But boy did it piss me off at the time. My point is, unless you want some people really pissed, make sure it's for a good cause.

well, if you are asking and asking and I can't give it to you, then it's up to me to tell you why I can't give you ammo.
To be fair, it might have been his early days in the mod and he didn't even realize he had the ammo and thought you were a noob for bothering a rifleman and not the support gunner.

well, i hope you don't do that kind of stuff with new people anymore, mongolMongolian_dude wrote:What i find just as bad as Tkers are theifs.
you've been waiting for a chopper for about 4mins on the carrier. A guy spawns, runs over to your position and tries to get in it as it spawns, before you. Anyone else have this problem? especialy on Mutraah.
Wait your F**king Turn, he/she/we/I was there 1st.
...mongol...
but i suggest you guys to not play at ECGN, there are a bunch of other servers and that fast-respawn sh*t just makes the game feels a LOT more like bf2vanilla, thus it attracts a lot of vanillatards making the gameplay poor

That sounds good! Finally you don't have to land on the far left side of the carrier anymore to repair without getting shot.'[R-DEV wrote: JS.Fortnight.A']We too feel your pain, and at this very moment (thanks in part to this thread) are developing a new safe-guard.Pilots rejoice! yea ECGN has gotten much better.... but still they really do need more admins online to catch this sorta ****...
like ive said previously, if you see me online in gloryhoundz west or south, and you see someone do something retarded, let me know, ill keep an eye on that player.
I have very little tolerance for intentional TKing, stealing vehicles, stealing limited kits, etc

I have some comments on this thread.
If you see behaviour of misconduct, why do you not report it to the servers webpage? Or at least check out the "Playable servers"-thread on this forum and grab one or two contactpoints and send them an email/xfire/whatever? Most public servers are not hosted by professionals, but by gamers who let you play on their server. Some of them have even paid hard earned cash for it. They have jobs, studies, wife and kids etc, that take up their time when they can't sneak away to play. It is difficult to be everywhere at once. But with the communities help and giving the administrators of the myriad of new servers a tip, maybe we can do you guys a favour in return and manage a server you want to play on.
Server administrators don't read every post in this forum like its the holy bible, and it is very easy to miss out on tips from you guys. So do us a favour, try to get in touch with us directly. Or at least give the topic a very distinct subject title.
Back to misconduct. I can only speak for myself, but I try to run a very tight ship indeed when it comes to TK or thievery. It is hard though, because usually I am in the game myself trying to enjoy the game, when suddenly I hear someone cry "wolf" or actually report misconduct. I did not witness the incident myself and getting a subjective viewpoint as to why someone should be kicked is not always the best of grounds to kick/bann. Now I have to go out of the game and monitor players. Now, imagine you having a superb round, taking names and kicking butts - then you have to go out of the game to babysit some smacktard that doesn't behave. That is not my idea of a good time. Thankfully, I don't have that many great rounds.
"Can I get back to the game now?"
Usually it's no, because the justifiable TK has now spiraled out of control and 3 other players have joined in on that idea and are killing somebody that did something to someone earlier this month according to someone - oh - and one more just for kicks. (My favorite incident was when somebody was helping another in "justifiable" TK'ing of one player and it turned out he targeted the wrong player.)
Either that or it has turned into a scenario of hysterical women crying their eyes out for some offence that happened in 2005! Fingers are pointed and a bitchfest has started. Experience those kind of situations enough, and you learn quickly you have to stop it before it starts, or nobody will get to enjoy the game.
One last thing before I let this die out. This is a game. Getting 40 people or more to play it exactly like YOU want it is impossible. You have 40 egoes out there who want to have fun, not get dictated by you how to enjoy the game. I belive when PR stops having growingpains we will get a more structure. Some servers will accommedate the strict military discipline and others will be a fragfest. In the meantime it is up to each and every player to display respect and a good conduct on whatever server they are on. Don't like the server? Just disconnect, or even better - let the admins know why not. And try to do it without disgracing yourself.

I think revenge TKing is a bad idea, i stopped after a recent experience. A player, who shall remain nameless unless anyone has a specific reason for wanting to know, knifed one of my squad for the sniper kit on EJOD. We were on the east sqaure roof. I was keep the north roof clear of enemy troops with the other sniper and my squad mate was taking out MECs attacking on the ground. We had highest number of kills on the team, 1st and 2nd, and, unlike some snipers, were actually helping the team rather than just racking up the kills for the sake of it.
Anyway, he knifes my squad mate, so I shot him in the head with a single pistol round. MEC broke though the area where he had been covering. Retard then returns and tries to knife me for my sniper kit. I again went to shoot him in the head, but a friendly spec ops sticks his head in my firing line, I TK him by accident.
The end result: MEC has streamed up the ladders to the north while I was gettin rid of this guy, wiping us off the east roof and firing down on to the square, which we soon lose and the guy I accidentally TK'd while trying to shoot the sniper killer thinks I did it delberately and TKs me the next time he sees me, I was a little difficult to explain what had happened.
So, now I just try and take it in my stride, hopefully find an admin on the server. I rarely report it if not, I'm usually not that angry any more so i can'tbe bothered to report after the event.

The following is a story and a lession i learnt in the field. I hope you all learn something from it too. This is dedicated to the memory of [PR]ARRC|mongol who gave his life for his team and was KIA, 11.12.06. May the Lord have him now.
The quatermaster pats me on the back and says "get out there and show em a thing or two" in a warm manner. I smiled and nodded "Will do". I ran across the sandswept desert, cupping my hand over the lense of the mounted scope on my M24, which i had been trained with for 2years, just for this moment. MEC forces had been defending the canyon for 2 days now, but they were low on ammo. Reports were that, soldeirs had seen some MEC throwing rocks at them, frequently fooling them into thinking they were fragmentation granades. None of this concerned me. They wouldnt see me. The sand was hot and rough against my chest as i crawled, made worse by the thick insulation of my gillie suit. It was standard issue for all marksmen, however most chose not to wear it because they complained they got so hot that thier scopes steamed up. I found it was rather easy to ignore when you know that looking like a bush could be the difference between life and becoming a prisoner. The later usualy resulted in a execution on Aljazeera TV.
There was a desytoyed battle tank, near enough to the canyon defenses so that i could get a good shot, even in the harsh and bitter sting of the sand storm. The turret had buckled and the barrel of the turret was bent, just enough so for me to rest my rifle underneath it. The MEC had old issue RPK machien guns set up on the outer wall of the canyon, and had 22nd MEU pinned to the very sand they had taken, earlyer that day. This was where men died and hoped. He was an awfuly skinny man, with a tash that went from one side of his face to the other. He looked rather intent on the ending of american soldiers and brought me peace to know that soon his brains would be all over the man beside him. He shouted in firm command to the gunner beside him, pointing with one hand and feeding the chain of ammo with the other.
My aim was shaky. i didnt want to die. not here, in a desert, in the sand and heat. I took deep breaths and though of home and mom, playing pool with my brothers at the local bar. There was a roar in the fighting as the American soldeirs thew in some fire, out of pure frustration of not being able to raise helicopter support in the sand storm.
I triger was cool, but gave little relief to the sweltering heat. The MEC trooper was in mid shout. My spotter gave me the count in. fire....fire....fire.
I didnt hear the shot, but the kick from the M24 was tromendus. In all my fear, i had forgoten to take my cheak from the but of the rifle. The MEC trooper stod for a second, his head coiled back, mouth wide open. The Gunner beside him jumped from his machien gun and held his comrad in his arms, yelling what must be words of distress in arabic. A medic ran out to them and i took the opertunity to reload. The round had passed though his upper jaw, into his brain and ricocheted inside his helmet, before tearing into the defesive position that he now lay on, lifeless. A spent round jumpt out of my rifle and i flinched. Boy, i must be scared. I took a deep breath for the next shot. I aked my spotter, with my eye still down my scope, if he had seen any other keen targets. I head nothing. I called to him again, still in a low hush as not to be discovered. I heard what was the sound of the safety of an M16 being removed and a small intake of breath. There was a ear-shattering sound and what felt like a being hit with a chair in a bar fight.
The air was stuffy and i coughed, gasping for air. I rolled over and looked up at my pixolated compainion. Was it my eyes? why did he look so odd. Was it the wound that messed with my sight?
Of all the things i could have said i called out"Check your fire!", with some of my ramaining breath, then the last of it, crying aloud for a medic twice. They were to far to get to me and the fire was still to fierce. There was no emotion in his eyes as he spoke "No way man". Green words appeared in my vision. I shook my head, still breathing franticly. Then, i saw numbers, counting down, my life ticking away. Was this some kind of sick joke from god? They were yellow and read "You are criticaly wounded: 17....16...15. More words appeard. 'Do you want to punish the teamkiller?'. "What?!" i thought. Was i going to make it? were these mirrages? The fading world around me was like something out of a computer game. The sand was at angular peaks and troughs, the plantlife still in the wind. He picked up my rifle and slung it over his shoulder and ran off. Green words appeared at the side of my vision once more. The words read as so: "[PR]DefectiveSpearm: Lol Pwnd". As strangeand new as this world was, i somehow knew something. 'TKed!' I thought. I didnt know why i though that or what it meant, but as my lifed faded away i could see myself. With 5 seconds to respawn, in my vision appeard. "[PR]ARRC|Mongol: You Fking Tker! you did that on perpose for my rifle!". the last thing i saw was colourless words reading " [PR]ARRC|Mongolian has intiated a vote kick against [PR]Defectivesperm."
You see what goes on? This player was not botted from the serve by the vote kick. The highest kick i have ever seen was 38/42 on Mutrahh against a Mass TK on the carrier.
It seems that the votes may have been increased in PR a little from nilla. It seems to be too high if you ask me. No one, to my knoledge had been booted.
Mongs most unwanted:
-BASHOL>>>>>>>>>(this player was the guy who recived the high vote on Mutrah. However, i think this was a one off for him because i have played well in team play with him. We all have our times lol)
-Woo0za(was causing agro to approx 3 others at the same time on jalalabad, ysterday)
-[PR]Defective sperm(the sniper stealer)
and counting.

An impromptu poll :
How many people have " Opt out of voting " checked on the main control menu ?
I think because of so many useless, self indulgent, spoiled brat, " i hate this map!" map votes, too many people have that checked and do not even see the vote coming up so it becomes impossible to achieve the required number of votes to kick someone.
Is it possible to eliminate the map vote as they never work and thereby inhibit the useful, if rarely effective kick vote ?

ECGN has up to 5 admins on from 3pm to past midnight EST. Two or three are on ECGN public Ventrilo server every night. The problem I see when something like this happens. The "Victim" just types out "you F-in this, fu you blankity blank blank. And they end up getting kicked for language. If only people would start with IS AN ADMIN ON? They might get the person removed in a quick fashion.'[R-DEV wrote:fuzzhead']yea ECGN has gotten much better.... but still they really do need more admins online to catch this sorta ****...

You can also post screenshots or video like this a ECGN.com and we will deal out the appropriate punishment. A permaban for people like this.

Did you mean you were playing with the clan 22ndMEU (us)? Or just used that military unit for referance.Mongolian_dude wrote:and had 22nd MEU pinned to the very sand they had taken, earlyer that day.

Oh and he came on a server and joined my squad, and I warned that he had been reported to be hacking, and just not a good guy to play with, when he tried to deny it everyone came to my defense, everyone in the server went against him.
He later came on our server and started cussing out my clan, well, lets just say his team didn't take kindly to that and his team TKed him until he left. (BTW this was the team that the 22nd wasn't on

This is pretty funny actually... a member of Project Reality actually shot at me trying to get a ride in a jeep...
Aside from that I know exactly what you guys mean. It sucks and if you revenge kill you're sinking to their level and you'll probably end up getting kicked for it. It especially pisses me off when they just end up landing it in the city so it doesn't spawn back or they don't come back for more people.
