However you will always be at a disadvantage with lower resolution. We cant really do anything against that.
i will make a suggestion thread so we not go offtopic.

Regarding your other points:
- We wont move the dot off center. The weapons are not properly zeroed, so moving the reticle would make it worse in game.
- I think it is blurry enough :)
- Cant make it glow more or make it more hologram-like :(
That looks fantastic. The size, look and color are much better than before. Good work! Would you mind making a short video of you shooting at bots? It's one thing to look at an image, and another to see the reticle in motion because the problem with the old one wasn't really how it look in a picture, but rather that when you try to move and aim, it felt really awkward.

Thanks

Hey Mat,

While we're on the topic and you are working on this, can you also fix the size of some other reflex sight dots?

The British back up reflex is too SMALL. I don't know the exact model, but since it's on top of a Trijicon ACOG, we can assume it's a Trificon RMR mini-reflex. Currently, it's the same size as the Aimpoint 2MOA dot. In reality, the RMRs have bigger dots ranging from 3.5-13 MOA. The reason we need a bigger dot is that on a sight that small, it's very difficult to find a very small dot as well, making for slow target acquisition. Thus it's actually advantages to have a bigger dot for sights that are used for extreme short range. This is true in real life and in game.

Using the in game Aimpoint 2 MOA as a reference, I'd recommend making the RMR's dot a 7 MOA dot, somewhere in the middle of 3.5 and 13 since we don't know exactly what model the Brits really use. Just make the current dot 3.5x bigger.

For more references, Trijicon RMR

For realism sake, you could also make the Meprolight M21 on the IDF weapons have bigger dots. In reality, they are 4.3 for the single dot, but also come in a variety of reticle choices. If you have time, maybe you can make some different reticles just for the sake for fun and choice.

Also, the G36 reflex sight dot is a bit too small as well. It's really hard to find especially in the sun. But since the sight window is so small, I'd recommend not making it too big, maybe 3.5-4.5 MOA. It just makes it a bit easier to use.

For your information, the Zeiss Z Point on MEC G3s is a 3.5 MOA sight, so if you have time, you can fix that as well, but it's not priority.

Thanks.

I recall that Combined Arms had some vehicle huds featuring glowy stuff, had a look at the files and it looks like it was done via texture

I've included the m1a2 files here with anything I think might be pertinent if anyone wants to figure it out

We can probably improve the glowyness, CA looks like it used a different method, but we're also using TGAs instead of DDS so I dunno

Sorry didnt read this earlier, but i dont see us changing those kind of things. Currently all red dots use the same texture and same hud files. Individual textures would add little to the gameplay, but make performance (ever so slightly) worse. Additionally there are no proper ballistics, so having the red dots at their realistic size would not contribute a lot.

Will look into that, thanks. But in general i fear that the sight might get too blurry if i add much glow through photoshop.

Okay makes sense. But can you at least change the British RMR. It's not an aesthetics thing, but a functional one. The red dot is way too small for a backup sight, making it very awkward and difficult to use. Sometimes you lose the dot in the sun since the animation is so weirdly placed on your screen. Please make it bigger, 3.5x bigger so that it's around 7MOA from the current 2MOA.
