Nice work guys although I agree the Mi-24 needs a bit more work, needs more dirt, colour corrections and an AO really. Quite a few of your textures could do with AO in fact.

Re-texturing existing weapons and vehicles is pretty quick and easy providing you have a few good texture artists. What is much harder is making brand new content from scratch which PR:F and PR:WW2 have a lot of coming in their updates since then not only do you need to make a texture from scratch and not just on top of existing textures, but you need to make the model, UV it, texture it (from scratch as mentioned and all the layers, normal, spec etc), export it, animate it (if its a weapon), code it and test it. Many of these jobs are totally different skill sets requiring many different people just to finish one asset over a few months of work.

As such things like the OT-64, Tatra 813, kit geoms etc that need to be made from scratch will take much longer to complete.

Coming along well although those details on the front which I'm guessing is the radiator grill or something don't look welded in and if so, will zfight like crazy. I would instead recommend you do them via the normal map rather than with tris which will save a lot of tris and UV space and will look just as good, other than of course they wont zfight :D

You should also weld the inner bit of your wheels and I would recommend you also look into making a high poly wheel to bake normals from :)

I did soldiers. They all use the same SEAL model with 4 different face textures to add some variety. Made the texturing process a lot simpler for me. It'll also be much easier for whoever does the kits.

Yes, as now in PR, China vs Russia, Canada vs Russia etc.
simeon5541 wrote:Any plans for today's Czech Forces ?
Actually, time period of the eighties I like more than the present time, because we have enough present time battles in PR I think. And of course such game play like in PR:F I want.
At all, if some people would be interested, we could represent Lebanon war 1982, I had thought about it, but it's just a thought. Now we are doing CSLA.

Hello everyone

We're in need of modellers\animators\exporters etc

We need to make animations for our weapons (models already done) + we need to make soldiers models and geometry.
+ Currently Tatra truck is being UVW mapped, but we're still need someone to help with.

I can always assist with exporting (except tracks) and basic tweak if need be. Try to find fitting animations of similar weapons. Editing animations is better then new animations ;)

Interesting, haven't seen this here before, looks pretty awesome. And looks like it's close to finished compared to some of the other community factions being worked on at the moment.
