As for micless players: As I said before, you'll be at a disadvantage. If there's a genuine reason you cannot speak (phobia or sth), I'd say there's a way for you to play anyway, if you've got a friend who'll keep you in the squad or a forgiving squad leader. (Not @original poster, but at others who might be reading precisely because they are shy and who get the impression we hate non-mic-users)

But if you can theoretically use one, please do.

You mean Project Reality as game or BF2 itself? Well, BF2 since 2009, PR since version 0.75 so year 2010. But it seems that no-chat-when-dead feature was added in PR version 0.97 or even later in version 1.0 ? Cause I can't remember that issue in version 0.85... Do you? (Be honest)

I do remember it, it's always been like that

Daniel, it's been like that since BF2 Vanilla. It's always been that way. Maybe it was introduced in a Patch of BF2, perhaps 1.41. Trust me, we didn't put that in the game.

Anyway, please let's not further discuss that topic, it's OT.

Also I support this "mic or gtfo" movement. Non mic users are indeed 2nd class players, on the same level as AFKers or people who are lonewolfing.

However third class players are guys who don't even text.

Example:

Can you hear me?
.........................

Russian, Chinese ?
........................

Do you understand me?
........................

Lastly fourth class players are the non talking non texting ones that ignore markers and wander of somewhere else altogether.
